The Director, Sales Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division (CSD) APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) will lead a growth-oriented sales organization and will be responsible for growing the portfolio for the business through a sales and clinical applications organization, as well as ensuring great customer satisfaction through best-in-class customer service. This individual will provide leadership in setting the sales and service regional strategy in alignment with the division strategy to optimize profitability and strategically deploy customer-facing teams. In addition, this person will ensure there is focus on sales force efficiency, price optimization, a marketing strategy aligned to business goals, profitable portfolio mix, and an effective service and support strategy. They will be responsible for developing, motivating, and retaining, a successful organization.

Key Accountabilities/Outputs:Builds the roadmap for the CSD APJ business, sales positioning, and go-to-market strategies to enable financial objectivesResponsible for revenue, margin, customer happiness, and market share objectivesAchieve/exceed CSD revenue and profitability plan for the region annuallyDevelop a matrix team with clear accountability, ownership, and implementation of commercial standard methodologiesCreate a strong commercial excellence infrastructure inclusive of forecasting process, funnel management, business intelligence, training, and marketing strategiesCreate strong relationships with strategic customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), influencers, and other key working groups to build long lasting partnershipsStrategically lead diverse and geographical customer base with understanding of regulations within countries and dynamic go to market channelsLead and demonstrate analyses of business and market trends to define customer requirements, competitive strategy, and business opportunities for growing customer and business valueLead monthly business reviews to forecast predictable revenue quarters with strong year over year growth, communicate market updates, gain competitive intelligence, and align on help neededBuild pricing guidelines, provide pricing mentorship, pricing visibility support, and develop solutions for product bundling, promotions, and discountsDevelop strong relationships among colleagues, marshals resources as needed, and represents the business effectively through being an influential leaderInteract at a strategic level with key business partners on internal and external issues to address the market needs and analysisCandidate Profile:Proven record of driving cross-functional initiatives and achieving results in a matrixed environmentDemonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities and develop bold and innovative commercial strategies to capitalize on those opportunitiesExperience in working within different cultural environments and complex matrix organizationsDemonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree is required preferably in science or business3+ years of people leadership within a commercial team7+ years of commercial experience in the healthcare industry with preferred experience in the pathology lab, oncology, or molecular biology with clinical experienceStrong business and financial savvyHighly effective at establishing relationships and using emotional intelligence to influenceDemonstrated ability to develop talent and build hard-performing teams especially in a matrix environment
