Director, Sales Compensation

The Director of Sales Compensation is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and administration of sales compensation plans, ensuring they align with business strategy, attract and retain talent, and optimize sales performance. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to navigate complex compensation structures, partnering with senior Business Unit and Sales leadership, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations.

Strategic leadership of sales incentive plan design across businesses with guidance and input from Business Leaders. Interface and build relationships with sales leaders and other functional organization personnel, to understand and validate revenue drivers to assist with ensuring accuracy of calculations/accruals.Lead projects focusing on implementing, upgrading, or enhancing the sales compensation plan designs, processes and systems; maintain and apply internal controls, and document process requirements, business processes, process flow, and system enhancements.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales plan compensation programs, policies, practices, and processes to ensure continuous improvement, compliance, and adherence to business and system requirements. Benchmark on-target earnings of sales team members, using both external market and internal data sources, to ensure sales team members are competitively and fairly compensated, taking into consideration skills, experience and scope of responsibility; participate in sales compensation surveys.Lead and develop a team of sales compensation professionals.

Basic Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years or Master’s Degree and 6 yearsStrong people leadership skillsExperience leading complex sales transformations10 years of experience designing, communicating and administering sales compensation plansProject management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional/cross-business projects. Excellent aptitude in Excel, Sales Compensation, and HRIS systemsAbility to identify and implement opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and develop, recommend and implement solutionsExcellent process re-engineering skillsAbility to collaborate with and influence high level business leaders and business partners across the organization Ability to drive change in a matrix organization and handle multiple projects and time demands with a high level of urgency, personal integrity, energy, and staminaMust be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

CSCP or CCP8 - 10 years years of experienceSales compensation program design and management

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $165,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
