With 2023 revenues of $20\.4 billion, we are a Fortune 500 company who is committed to providing an inclusive work environment with continuous learning opportunities and development for our teams\. **GENERAL PURPOSE:** The Ross Investigative and Safety Center \(RISC\), located at our Dublin, CA Corporate Campus, is a state\-of\-the\-art Global Security Operations Center \(GSOC\) which serves as the centralized crisis response and communications hub for the company\. The RISC operates 24/7/365 and plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of our 2,100 Stores, 128,000\+ Associates, office locations, supply chain operations, and Ross travelers globally\. RISC is tasked with the critical responsibility of monitoring and analyzing global intelligence to identify and assess potential threats to our operations, including natural disasters, geopolitical risks, severe weather events, and travel security concerns\. As the central hub for intaking, assessing, and communicating on any potential risks, the RISC provides real\-time situational awareness and strategic insights, enabling proactive threat mitigation and response\. In addition to intelligence and crisis response, additional programs led or supported by the RISC include coordinating workplace violence threat response, travel security program management, oversight of guard deployments nationwide, remote compliance audits of key LP/operational processes, and overnight alarm/CCTV monitoring\. ROLE The Director of Ross Intelligence & Safety Center is a pivotal executive role responsible for the comprehensive leadership and strategic oversight multiple complex, high visibility programs\. As the executive in charge of the GSOC, the Director will shape and drive the global security strategy, setting the vision and direction for the center's operations\. This involves creating a robust framework for intelligence gathering, threat assessment, and crisis management to proactively address and mitigate potential risks\. The role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to translate complex security challenges into actionable strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives\. The Director will oversee and serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of global intelligence, travel security, workplace violence management, and crisis response, ensuring each program is effectively integrated and optimized for maximum impact\. This role demands a high level of accountability for the GSOC's performance, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation to adapt to an ever\-evolving global security landscape\. You will lead cross\-functional crisis response efforts, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to managing high\-stakes incidents\. This includes activating and leading crisis management conference calls with senior executives and key stakeholders, providing real\-time strategic guidance and decision\-making support during critical situations\. The Director will ensure that all relevant departments are aligned and informed, driving a unified response to mitigate risks and protect the organization\. Your leadership role in the Stores Crisis Management Team \(SCMT\) program is crucial to maintaining operational continuity and safeguarding the company's assets and reputation during times of crisis\. Additionally, the Director will lead and mentor a high\-performing team of security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and resilience\. This includes overseeing the recruitment, development, and performance management of team of Sr\. Managers, Managers, Sr\. Analysts/Analysts to ensure the GSOC is staffed with skilled professionals capable of handling complex security scenarios\. The position involves significant interaction with senior leadership and key stakeholders, requiring the ability to communicate complex security issues and strategic insights clearly and effectively\. The base salary range for this role is $115,200 \- $216,600\. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** Strategic Leadership and Program Ownership: • Program Accountability: Oversee and hold accountability for multiple high\-impact programs, including global intelligence, crisis response, travel security, and workplace violence management\. Masters' degree preferred\. • 10\+ years of senior\-level experience in global security, intelligence, or crisis management, with a robust background in Loss Prevention or retail security\. Proven ability to drive large\-scale security initiatives and manage high\-stakes situations\. • At least 7 years management experience, with a demonstrated track record in leading and developing high\-performing teams\. • Expertise in using sophisticated analytical tools and methodologies to perform comprehensive threat assessments and risk analysis\. Proficiency in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and enhance security operations\. • Must have proficiency in and knowledge of computer software including MS Office \(Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint\) • Extensive experience in managing complex crises, including the formulation of crisis response plans, coordination of multi\-disciplinary response teams, and effective communication with senior leadership during critical incidents • In\-depth knowledge of geopolitical risks and global security trends, with a demonstrated ability to manage security operations across diverse geographic regions and adapt to international security challenges • Expert knowledge in GSOC systems and technology platforms, including established relationships with key intelligence vendors and membership in industry associations • Robust network of private sector and government contacts to enable ability to source real\-time, actionable intelligence, conduct competitor benchmarking, and obtain early warning on relevant developments • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry peers\. Strong skills in collaboration, negotiation, and influence at all organizational levels • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security information and strategies to senior executives and other key stakeholders clearly and persuasively • Self\-motivated with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure\.
