A $300bn + asset manager is looking to add a Director to its research and origination team focused on the non- traditional asset backed securitization market. The team is focused on originating and executing private placement and 144A securitized transactions.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will help Source, underwrite and execute Private and 144A securitizations by interacting with Commercial and Investment Banks, Finance Companies, Asset originators, Asset Managers and Private Equity funds. Coverage sectors include, Solar, Student Loans, Home Improvement, Unsecured Consumer, Residential Mortgages, Digital Infrastructure, aviation, rail, equipment finance, whole business, other specialty finance sectors.
The candidate must be able to support their origination efforts and other team members by performing and/or supervising credit, collateral, legal, cashflow and structural analysis as well as review legal documentation. The individual will be expected to work closely with rating agencies, in house and external legal counsel as well as work closely with accounting and regulatory personnel to ensure proper accounting and regulatory capital treatment.
Qualifications:
The candidate will have 10+ years of Structured Finance origination and analysis experience specifically with Private ABS.
Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or CFA preferred A strong background in credit research
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Experience with cashflow modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis for asset-backed transactions is a strong plus.
