Director, Regional HR Partner

We are excited to hire an experienced Director, Regional HR Partner in Serbia, One of our Centre of Excellence's. The successful candidate will ensure that HR strategies align with both global HR goals and regional needs. Clarivate is seeking a strategic thinker who understands the local culture and has a thorough understanding of regional labor laws and HR processes. The Director, Regional HR Partner will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, driving initiatives that support the overall business strategy. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

10 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or a similar role

5 years of experience in a global organization partnering on global HR initiatives

Understanding of regional / local cultures and how to navigate them effectively in the HR area

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

It would be great if you also had . . .  

Certification in HR (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, etc)

In-depth knowledge of HR processes, practices, and compliance within the region

Ability to collaborate with senior leaders to influence business outcomes

Strong ability to identify challenges and create effective solutions

What will you be doing in this role? 

Partner closely and collaborate with the global HR business partners and other HR COE colleagues to deliver results and outcomes.

Provide strategic advice and HR solutions to leaders, helping to solve people-related business challenges

Act as a liaison between colleagues and management, ensuring a balanced perspective is maintained

Ensure adherence to the regional labour laws, regulations, and company policies, minimizing legal risks related to employment

Identify potential HR risks and implement strategies to mitigate them

Ensure that necessary HR reports, audits, and documentation comply with both local and international regulations

Ensure the regional HR strategies align with the company's overall HR initiatives and imperative

Adapt global HR policies to reflect regional cultural, legal, and business conditions

Assess workforce requirements for the region, ensuring the right talent is in place to support business objectives and growth

Act as a mediator to resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and legally compliant handling of grievances, disputes, and complaints

Create regional HR plans (in partnership with Global HRBPs) including workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning

Initiate the support of Global HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Talent Management, People Services and Employment Relations ) to drive organizational success

Collaborate closely with other departments such as Finance and Legal to ensure HR initiatives are integrated across Serbia

Work with HR leaders in other regions or countries to ensure global HR initiatives are localized effectively and consistent standards are maintained

About the team

You will be a member of an international team of HRBP experts and you will be closely cooperating with the colleagues in wider HR team, both local and international.

Hours of work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone.

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
