POSITION SUMMARY:
Director, Public Relations oversees PR strategies across all mediums, develop and implement international PR plans that build awareness and drive demand for Melco.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support line manager to come up annual communication strategy and plan for Melco properties in Macau, with focus on PR categoryWork with Melco Group PR team to ensure consistent storytelling and support executive interview pitch and implementationWork with line manager to pitch interview opportunities for property presidents and chefs per business requestBuild, manage and support brand relationships with journalists, celebrities and agents for high visibility of MelcoLead team and agencies to come up qualified press releases on time to ensure positive PR exposure according to aligned communication calendarGenerate positive PR exposure for various campaignsLead team and agencies to come up management speech, MC scripts, interview Q&A, management briefing book, etc. according to aligned communication calendarLead planning and implementation of PR eventsSupport internal communication by working with line manager and Group PR teamSupport line manager to enhance relationship with local government officials, including but not limited to MGTO, ICM, etc.Work with Social Media team, Media team, Digital team, etc. to enhance integrated communication and maximize impactBe responsible for PR budget forecast, planning, monitoring and optimization to ensure spending efficiencyDemonstrate a commitment to build PR talents pool through recruitment & coachingKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Media Relationship in key markets, including but not limited to Mainland CN, HK S.A.R, MO S.A.R, Taiwan China, Korea and ThailandAnnual PR clippings, especially in tier 1 and 2 media’s penetrationInterview pitch for property presidents and support to Melco executive’s interview pitchMedia coop planning, implementation, and deliverables upon alignment with line manager for various campaignsQUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
Successful candidates will have 10-15 years of relevant work experience within PR category in luxury retail, car, travel, entertainment, hospitality industry. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate success in proactively responding to a dynamic market.
Education (please indicate minimum and preferred academic requirements)
A bachelor’s degree or above of relevant fields.Skills / Competencies
Speak and write fluent English is a must, Cantonese or Mandarin as a plusCandidate must have a well-developed and mature presentation style.Previous experience working in Asian markets is a plusStrong negotiating and confrontation skillsShould possess excellent leadership capabilities and charisma skills to influence, inspire and motivate key stakeholders and employees around a single vision.Have exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with senior management team.Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.Have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
