Internal Audit also provides specialist direction on enterprise security, protection, and investigation programs. The Strategic Transformation Office (STO) within Internal Audit is a small, high functioning team dedicated to accelerating strategic focus areas, driving material improvements in audit execution and ultimately contributing to the organization’s long-term value creation and stakeholder engagement. As the Director, Project Management in the STO, you will play a pivotal individual contributor role in advancing these objectives. You will be responsible for governance, reporting, benefits management, and communication, ensuring progress is tracked, visible, and aligned with organizational priorities. \ _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote_ **How You’ll Succeed** + **Governance & Reporting:** You will establish robust governance structures and reporting processes to ensure transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making. You will track and monitor project progress, analyze metrics, and provide recommendations to executive management. + **Benefits Management:** You will define and track the realization of project benefits, ensuring that outcomes are measurable, communicated, and aligned with strategic objectives. + **Change Management:** You will develop and implement change management strategies, including communication, training, and resistance management plans, to support successful adoption of transformation initiatives. + **Stakeholder Engagement:** You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and ensure open communication channels to resolve issues and drive project success. + **Continuous Improvement:** You will identify process inefficiencies, recommend enhancements, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within Internal Audit. **Who You Are** + **You have proven project management skills,** with a track record of managing and tracking multiple complex projects through all lifecycle stages (initiation, planning, execution, closure), preferably within financial services. You are adept at project governance, benefits tracking, resource coordination, and risk management + **You bring experience in leading change management initiatives,** including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and mitigation of people risks. + **You can demonstrate an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements** pertinent to operational processes. It’s an asset if you possess a solid understanding of CIBC’s Internal Audit processes, procedures, and guidelines. + **You excel at analyzing complex problems,** synthesizing information, and making data-driven decisions.
