Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Director of Program Management. In this leadership role, the individual will be responsible for overall program management and is accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance of the Military Displays (MD) division. This position will have a direct interface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholder leadership. The role includes responsibility for guiding L3Harris’ employees in their work and influencing them to deliver their best and to act within the L3Harris corporate values.

Essential Functions:

Manage a portfolio of complex programs including managing several direct reports and the various programs they are managing, succession planning, performance management, and coaching and mentoringSite Leadership and high-level relationship managementEnsure customer satisfaction, maintain customer communication, and provide overall management of the customer relationshipManage the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of programs through all phases from inception to completionDirect the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contractsEnsure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the programParticipate in defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development effortsWork with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunitiesDirect the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areasSolve highly complex problems with significant business impactInteract internally with management and customers on significant business mattersDevelop, manage, track, and report financial forecastsParticipate in the overall marketing strategies and business planning in support of L3Harris initiatives and strategic corporate business pursuitsAs required, lead and support planning for and involvement in applicable trade showsProvide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate executive levels within the customer communityOrganize and coordinate customer visits and participating in appropriate symposiums and trade showsUnderstand customer procurement processes and government funding approvalMake effective decisions regarding the profitability and achievability of pursuitsExemplify leadership that instills confidence and trust across a diverse workforce, effectively influencing morale, engagement and mission readiness in an A&D-focused environmentOccasional travel required

Qualifications:

Must be eligible to obtain a ClearanceBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience managing programs within a DOD or Aerospace environmentSolid technical background and strong financial skillsExperience leading teams and working with other teams, business units, and customersExperience with customer and stakeholder communicationStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral, written, negotiation, and presentation skillsPrevious experience managing government contractsPrevious avionics experience highly desiredPrevious PMP or equivalent highly desired
