The Director, Program Management is responsible for leading and managing programs from Innovation/NPD (New Product Development) to launch including market expansion/protection for assays/reagents developed out of Solna R&D. 

 

This position is part of the Technical Project Management and will be located in Solna. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions. 

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

Manage the roadmap for the active and on deck programs 

Lead the cross-functional coordination of teams to ensure alignment and proper resourcing and prioritization of Solna R&D portfolio (innovation/NPD and market expansion/protection). 

Lead and drive on time delivery metric for Solna portfolio 

Define, measure, resolve, and communicate project progress to leadership 

Participate in development and continuous improvement on best practices for project execution and talent development for PMO including leading and driving Kaizens/workshops 

Support implementation of good / industry standard project management and processes 

Develop talent of direct reports and bench strength to build/sustain team capability to support current and future roadmap needs, aligned with business growth targets 

 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Bachelor’s degree required in Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration 

8+ years of experience developing products in a regulated environment 

 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:  

Ability to travel – 20% of time 

Ability to work in the evenings due to majority of stakeholders being located on the US West Coast 

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

Master’s /PHD Degree preferred PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred Medical device and/or In Vitro Diagnostic product launch experience is highly preferred People Management background is a plus
