What you’ll be doing
As the Director, Program Delivery (Wealth Management) reporting to the Senior Director, Wealth Program Delivery, you will lead the delivery of strategic, high profile, complex initiatives and programs in support of the Global Asset Management strategy. These initiatives can span across the entire organization and require effective relationship building and partnership with key partners who are critical to initiative and program success. You will lead teams of delivery professionals and other experts, some of which will be direct reports and others who will report into the team on a matrix or assignment basis. You will be a strong coach and promote personal and professional development for their direct reports and be an active member of the Delivery Leadership Team. Assignments will change over time, you will be expected to be flexible to support any given assignment within Wealth Management.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Wealth Project Delivery – Ensure focus on priority outcomes by leading and overseeing effective project management including appropriate change management disciplines to ensure sustainable benefits are realized, delivery costs are optimized, and delivery predictability is transparent. Manage the tracking and reporting of all initiatives throughout the process, managing and escalating risks and issues as appropriate while complying with enterprise standards. Ensure appropriate governance is in place and that decisions are accurately captured and reflected in a central repository for future records management or audit reviews. Apply knowledge of project management methodology and delivery framework including CIBC Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF). Apply understanding of Wealth business and principals along with regulatory requirements.
Relationship Management – Work with experienced business leaders who will empower you to lead projects, develop your capabilities and make things happen. Build strong relationships by working closely and effectively with many stakeholders at all levels across Wealth Management and CIBC. Develop sponsor relationships and accountability.
People Leadership – Leading a team of experienced project managers. Foster an agile mindset across the team. Maintain a focus on Employee Satisfaction and work with the leadership team to support the maintenance of an environment that fosters personal growth and job satisfaction. Integrity, passion, listening skills, humility and desire to see others succeed.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience. In Program Management, transformation, planning, implementation of complex programs across different business units in the financial services sector. Experience managing and delivering on large complex projects. Strong business acumen, ability to understand interdependencies, and impacts on business. People leadership experience leading and managing a team. PMP certification is a strong asset.
You can demonstrate knowledge. Understanding and knowledge of wealth management and asset management functions a strong asset.
