Now Brewing – director, Product Management Supply Chain! #tobeapartner
At Starbucks, our mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. Starbucks Technologists work to achieve this mission through technology that serves our partners, customers, suppliers, stores, roasteries, and global communities.
This position contributes to Starbucks success by assuming end-to-end responsibility for the digital product strategy and roadmap for Supply Chain Planning and Sourcing—powering the flow of goods and services from suppliers and manufacturers to our distribution network and stores. We design, build, and mature a connected product ecosystem that reduces cost of goods sold, improves service levels, safeguards quality and compliance, and scales with Starbucks’ growth. To be successful, the candidate must be a strategic, data-driven product leader with deep expertise in both Planning and Sourcing, a proven ability to build and coach high-performing product teams, and a strong track record of delivering measurable business results in QSR, Retail, CPG, or franchise-based supply chains.
Key Responsibilities

o Establish and elevate product management craft across Planning & Sourcing (problem framing, discovery, outcome-driven roadmaps, PRD quality, prioritization, and clear OKRs).
o Create strong product rituals (quarterly planning, portfolio reviews, post-launch learnings) and artifacts that align stakeholders and drive accountability.
• Build, Lead, and Grow a High-Performing Team
o Recruit, develop, and retain a team of product leaders and product managers with expertise in S2C/P2P and Planning (Demand, Supply, Inventory, Replenishment, Network & S&OP/IBP).
o Provide hands-on coaching, career development, and performance management; cultivate a culture of curiosity, ownership, and bias for action.
• Own the Product Portfolio for Planning & Sourcing
o Planning: Lead products for demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, replenishment/allocation, inbound/outbound network planning, S&OE/S&OP/IBP, and scenario planning.
o Sourcing: Lead products for category/strategic sourcing, supplier discovery & onboarding, events/RF(x), contract lifecycle management (CLM), supplier performance & risk, catalog & P2P, and compliance.
• Drive Outcomes That Matter
o Set clear, measurable business outcomes (e.g., forecast accuracy, service level fill rate, on-time in-full, inventory turns/working capital, cost savings/avoidance, contract compliance, supplier risk reduction, traceability coverage, quality & food safety conformance).
o Partner with Finance to quantify benefits and manage the portfolio ROI; ensure adoption and sustained value realization.
• Architect for Scale, Interoperability, and Resilience
o Guide integration strategies across Sourcing, CLM, ERP, Procurement, PLM/specs, Quality/Food Safety, Risk/Third-party data, WMS/TMS, MES/MRP, and enterprise data platforms/MDM to enable clean, timely, and consistent information flow.

• Lead Cross-Functional Alignment & Change
o Operate as a strategic partner to Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality & Food Safety, Logistics, Store Operations, Finance, and Legal.
o Drive change management and training plans to ensure adoption across a distributed, franchise-inclusive network.
• Ensure Compliance, Risk Management, and Traceability
o Embed capabilities for regulatory compliance, ethical sourcing, sustainability standards, supplier qualification, material traceability, specification control, and incident response across Planning & Sourcing workflows.
o Establish governance and data stewardship for auditability, data quality, and policy adherence.
• Deliver with Speed and Quality
o Run the full lifecycle from vision and planning through delivery and iteration in close partnership with engineering, data, and architecture.
