Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Product Management to join our Open Finance product management team. This role is a pivotal in Mastercard’s execution of its go-to-market strategy for its open finance solution in Brazil. The key aspect of this role are:
(1)\tDriving the overall GTM strategy for our Open Finance solutions and partnerships in Brazil
(2)\tIdentify opportunities and localization requirements to bring selected global Open Finance services, capabilities and expertise into the Brazil market
(3)\tIdentify Product GTM synergies with existing Mastercard Product & Services in Brazil
In the process, the individual will work closely with, and where appropriate influence/persuade:
•\tBrazil Sales, BD and Product teams
•\tGlobal Open Finance product and engineering teams
•\tLocal market partners
•\tMastercard’s distribution channels and partners as to craft and/or customize solutions to the needs of local customers and partners (financial institutions, fintechs, markeplaces and participants of the open finance ecosystem).
•\tTechnology teams that will drive product localization, as well as Customer Delivery and Legal on setting up new relevant onboarding processes and contract minutes and partnership models needed.
The individual will be an expert on the relevant features, benefits, and the needs of current and future customers and will become a key member of the Mastercard Open Banking Global and Local Product team responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for the overall product portfolio.
In this role, you will:
•\tDefine and execute the product vision and strategy for partner-integrated offerings, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
•\tCollaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless integration and go-to-market execution.
•\tTranslate customer needs into product requirements, leveraging partner capabilities to deliver differentiated value.
•\tMonitor product performance, customer adoption, and partner SLAs; identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
•\tEnsure all partner engagements meet internal standards for data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
•\tActively support the commercial teams and partners in engaging potential customers, and drive the process of reflecting their needs in the local deployment of the relevant open banking products.
•\tBe an internal expert on open banking / open finance as a whole, staying engaged with key ongoing market developments, regulatory interventions, competitor activity, events and conferences if needed.
•\tWork with third party companies throughout the sourcing, contracting and deployment phase to drive execution of our strategy.
All About You
Skills and experience required for this role are:
•\tRelevant experience on banking, payments, FinTechs and/or consulting.
•\tKnowledge of Open Finance practices, regulations, and standards in Brazil and beyond
•\tSuccessful B2B product development and/or management experience.
•\tExperience in engaging with external customers (in a supporting a sales or relationship management role).
•\tStrong analytical skills and financial literacy.
•\tSelf-starter with strong ability to work in a fast-paced global team environment without hands-on local direction.
•\tAbility to plan and organize effectively and deliver against deadlines.
•\tAn attention to detail, a ‘right first time’ approach.
•\tAble to build new relationships on one’s own, and communicate at all levels within the business, clearly and concisely.
•\tThe ability to work in a cross-functional team and in a matrix organization.
•\tFluent in Portuguese and English
Role is expected to require some travel to customer engagements, events etc.
