Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
+ 15 years of experience in product management including developing outcome based product outlook/northstars, strategies, and roadmaps, Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and Market Requirements Documents (MRDs)
+ Experience leading geographically distributed teams and working with cross-functional partners
+ Experience with operating system and application development tools and frameworks
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience working in, navigating, and leading within a complex regulatory environment
+ Ability to innovate beyond the status quo while also leading and driving high quality execution in complex operating systems similar to Android
+ Ability to represent Google externally as the domain expert for their area, working closely with Android’s OEMs and other ecosystem partners
+ Ability to understand and respond to the needs of different customers
+ Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with senior executives both internally and externally
+ Excellent collaboration and partnering skills, specifically in flat, functionally-oriented organizations
As Director, Product Management, Android Core OS, you will oversee the Android Core OS product management team responsible for setting the strategy and outlook as well as guiding and driving the execution of Android Core OS releases which powers devices worldwide across phones, tablets, watches, cars, TVs, and others.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the core Android operating system continues to innovate, evolve, and deliver high quality releases in a highly dynamic environment including adapting the operating system.
Key domain areas include performance, power, audio, video, camera, permissions, private compute core, and the core elements of the system and application framework for Android which are shared across all device types. The team is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and inspiring the work of highly experienced Android engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Lead the Android Core OS Product Management Team. Maximize the impact of Android engineers as they support the needs of phones, tablets, watches, TVs, Autos, and more.
+ Ensure Android Core OS has a clear long-term outlook and strategy to guide roadmap planning and ensure Android is well positioned for the future.
+ Ensure Android adapts to rapidly evolving regulatory requirements and continues to lead in respecting user preferences and protecting their privacy.
+ Lead complex cross-functional projects to resolution including excellent stakeholder and executive expectation management.
+ Develop and manage a high-performing team.
