The job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to join our Single-Use Technology (SUT) team in Cramlington, UK. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all functions across site to ensure peak efficiency, flawless communication, and compliance with all customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
This role will report directly to the VP Operations of our SUT business, based in the US, and will work closely with the Cramlington Site Leadership Team and Functional Leaders to build a successful “One Site” operations team.
This role is fully site-based (5 days pw) at our Cramlington, UK site. Occasional international travel may be required.
What will you do?
Establish and improve mechanisms to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product delivery to support the Single Use Division's growthAssess resource needs across sites and prioritize assignments in collaboration with site and functional leadersProvide thought leadership to site leaders to achieve network goals and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvementDrive performance of the operations team to exceed financial targets through quality, cost efficiency, and productivityPromote collaboration across sites and global functionsEstablish key performance indicators to promote progress and visibility, analyze data to focus and achieve desired outcomesDevelop a succession strategy and mentor site leaders for exceptional performance and coachingCoordinate hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews of manufacturing leadersManage budgets, schedules, and key operating metricsIdentify projects and suggest suitable actions to enhance profitability and supplyEnsure effective transfer of new products into production
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience10-15 years of management experience in a complex GMP manufacturing environmentExcellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsStrong leadership ability with a focus on customer needsProven track record of building teams and implementing process improvementsExperience in continuous improvement methodologiesAdvanced level of EnglishWhat’s in it for you:
