Director, Paid Media & Performance
Lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of paid media and advertising initiatives to drive business growth and brand impact. Own media investment strategy, ensuring optimal budget allocation, efficiency, and performance in alignment with regional business needs and market dynamics. Spearhead innovation by identifying new media opportunities, optimizing internal processes, and providing executive-level insights. **A Day in the Life:** Shape the media investment strategy, aligning marketing objectives with business goals to maximize ROI. Establish and enhance collaboration between internal stakeholders and external agency partners, ensuring streamlined execution, strategic consistency, and performance-driven outcomes. Oversee the global marketing investment allocations to maximize return to the business. Reporting to the VP, Global Paid Media and Advertising, this position will lead integrated media plans by collaborating across Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales and Finance teams to align metrics for measuring marketing spend performance and syndicate the success of media performance across the enterprise. The starting salary for this position is $130,000 **What You’ll Do:** + Strategic Media Investment Leadership + Oversee global paid media strategy, ensuring effective budget allocation, forecasting, and performance analysis. + Drive media planning and investment decisions through data-driven insights and market trends. + Lead strategic negotiations for media partnerships and major campaign investments. + Financial Ownership & Performance Management + Own the financial management of global marketing investments, including budget planning and forecasting. + Partner with Finance to produce monthly forecasts for both investment and return, close-of-month reports, and long-range investment plans. + Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration + Serve as liaison between marketing, finance, analytics, and regional teams to align on media strategies and priorities. + Deliver executive-level reports on media investment outcomes and strategic recommendations. + Provide leadership in defining and prioritizing product initiatives that impact paid media performance. + Digital Media Strategy & Vendor Management + Oversee planning and execution of multi-channel digital advertising campaigns, including social, video, and emerging media. + Evaluate, onboard, and manage media vendors, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and performance expectations. + Establish scalable processes and best practices for campaign execution, audience targeting, and performance measurement. + Campaign Analysis & Optimization + Develop and present pre-, mid-, and post-campaign analyses to assess effectiveness and refine strategies. + Leverage analytics to drive continuous improvements in media mix, messaging, and audience engagement. **Key result areas:** + Optimize global media investment strategies to maximize efficiency and performance. + Drive collaboration across brand team & key business segments to align paid media efforts with business objectives. + Establish and implement best practices for campaign execution, vendor management, and media performance evaluation. **What We’re Looking For:** + Undergraduate degree in marketing, advertising or other business discipline required (MBA highly preferred + 7-10 years of professional experience in digital marketing + 5-7 years managing and implementing successful paid, omnichannel advertising strategies + Google AdWords and Google Analytics a plus + Travel industry experience a plus + Expert-level knowledge of paid advertising with a proven track record of successful results + Media buying and planning experience + Strong paid advertising platform knowledge with high proficiency in paid search, paid social, content marketing, and video and programmatic platforms + Strong understanding of current on market, competition, trends, tactics, concepts, practices, and procedures + Budget planning and management experience + Excellent verbal and written communication + Positive attitude + Proactive with account recommendations and sharing industry insights + Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel + Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment + Proven track record of working under tight deadlines while keeping others on-schedule + Exceptional attention to detail and driving excellence efficiently on all deliverables **What You’ll Get:** + Up to 40% off the base rate of any standard Hertz Rental + Paid Time Off + Medical, Dental & Vision plan options + Retirement programs, including 401(k) employer matching + Paid Parental Leave & Adoption Assistance + Employee Assistance Program for employees & family + Educational Reimbursement & Discounts + Voluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical Illness + Perks & Discounts –Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & more The Hertz Corporation operates the Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, Thrifty Car Rental brands in approximately 9,700 corporate and franchisee locations throughout North America, Europe, The Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
