Responsibilities

The Director of Operations will oversee all daily activities at the high-volume Charlotte Distribution Center, supporting both retail and ecommerce fulfillment. We are looking for a seasoned operations leader with a hands-on, people-first approach and the ability to engage large teams in achieving shared goals. The ideal candidate will combine strong execution skills with a strategic mindset, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Director of Operations will leverage KPIs, inventory controls, and best practices to drive operational efficiency and address root causes. Financial acumen and comfort with performance levers are essential for success. Ultimately, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the DC's operational excellence and overall success.

Lead all aspects of DC operations, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and seasonal workforce planning, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and throughput Create a high-performance environment by developing strong, trusted relationships with salaried managers and hourly teams alike Maintain clear accountability and consistent expectations while fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture Serve as a visible and approachable leader on the floor, especially during peak season, leading by example and ensuring alignment across all shifts Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, Inventory, and Safety teams to support people, process, and systems excellence Support operational planning and reporting activities, with the ability to understand cost drivers, staffing models, and KPIs Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement improvements without disrupting execution Champion a mindset of continuous improvement while honoring what's working well today

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field required. Minimum 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or high-volume operations; and/or combination of education and experience Demonstrated ability to lead and retain large, diverse teams (100+), with a natural leadership presence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect with people at all levels Strong operational grounding with proven results in driving efficiency, accuracy, and safety in high-volume DCs (500K+ sq. ft.) Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS, ERP, etc.) and an understanding of process and data-driven decision making Ability to utilize financial and operational KPIs to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, improve throughput, and labor planning Experience driving root cause analysis and corrective action planning, especially related to inventory control and service levels Proven ability to interpret operational KPIs and link performance metrics to root cause analysis and corrective action Experience optimizing inventory accuracy, flow, and control procedures to support business performance and reduce shrink Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead through change, especially during seasonal ramp-ups Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus Job Snapshot Employee Type Full-Time Location Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Job Type Distribution - Shipping, Management, Inventory Experience 10 years Apply to this job.
