Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Director of Operations at NCSI will play a critical leadership role, overseeing a team of managers and driving the success of internal operations. This individual will be accountable for optimizing workflows, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring excellence in screening and processing systems. A key strategic partner, the Director will work closely with NCSI Sales and NBC Sports Next GTM leaders to influence broader business strategies and market positioning. 

Job Duties 

Lead and manage a team of people leaders (managers), providing strategic guidance, coaching, and performance development.  

Own and drive the success of NCSI’s internal operations, including process optimization, vendor selection, and screening workflows. 

Build and refine scalable systems that ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all operational activities.  

Collaborate closely with NCSI Sales leadership and NBC Sports Next GTM teams to support strategic planning, pricing, and market positioning efforts. 

Represent NCSI’s overall revenue, performance metrics, and business health in senior leadership and cross-functional meetings.  

Ensure that all operational workflows are well-documented, clearly communicated, and consistently executed to a high standard. 

Analyze and improve complex systems and processes, identifying gaps and leading continuous improvement initiatives.  

Maintain a deep focus on compliance, accuracy, and detail across all operational functions. 

Foster a high-performance culture centered on transparency, accountability, and professional growth.  

Partners with the sales leadership and HR in the investigation and resolution of employee performance/relation issues 

Act as a role model and own the company mission and values  

Responsible for regular 1x1 meetings as well as quarterly/annual performance reviews 

Recruit, hire, develop and retain a team that creates opportunity advancement and succession planning within and across your organizational structure  

Train and create a schedule for any new hires that they bring into their team

Qualifications

Basic Requirements 

5-7 years in a operations management role preferably in a background screening industry  

Success as a strategic thinker with an ability to contribute to and influence high level business strategies  

Proven operational expertise, with an ability to optimize complex workflows, systems and processes with a focus on scale and efficiency  

Proven ability to motivate, coach, and direct employees towards success 

College degree preferred  

Results-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills 

Ability to conduct business forecasting and oversee staffing needs  

Ability to multi-task with consistent and timely follow-through 

Desired Characteristics 

High Competency of the background screening industry   

Success in presenting complex ideas to leadership in a clear and concise manner 

Experience in managing internal projects, navigating multiple cross functional stakeholders 

Additional Requirements 

Must be willing to work in our Minneapolis or Orlando office 

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice (if applicable)  

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Compensation: $110,00 - $136,000 Base + 10% Management Incentive Comp target
