Job Description Summary:
The Director, Naven Health Nursing Special Programs is a strategic nursing leader responsible for the administrative and clinical oversight of Special Programs Nurse Managers and their teams. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant patient care by upholding a professional model of nursing practice and aligning all activities with regulatory and organizational standards.This position plays a critical role in driving clinical excellence by collaborating with internal stakeholders—including the Departments of Education and Quality—to support the development and implementation of evidence-based policies and practices. The Director also works cross-functionally with Naven Health pharmacies, manufacturers, and clients to ensure satisfaction and optimal coordination of care for patients enrolled in special programs.
In addition, the Director supports recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring best practices are in place to attract and maintain top nursing talent. The role is also responsible for ensuring all clinical operations meet or exceed quarterly key performance indicators, working closely with the Quality and Regulatory teams to develop and execute strategies that promote continuous improvement.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)Oversee and supports Nurse Managers, Special Programs and Clinical Trial Managers practice and performance.
Ensures the delivery of safe nursing practice which align with current evidence and reduce organizational risk and with specific needs of special programs and clinical trials
Ensure compliance with all Nursing and Patient Care policies
Collaborate with the Department of Nursing Education to develop and ensure on-going competency of all infusion nursing staff as it relates to special programs and clinical trials
Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures
Highly skilled in navigating a communicating in a complex environment
Is proactive in supporting and participating in all regulatory, licensing and accreditation activities as required
Strong self-starter who can be consultative and collaborative to influence individuals in other departments as well as the team the role oversees
Solid problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to find solutions to complex problems
Proven ability to lead including hiring, developing and motivating a diverse team
Responsible for creating and implementing Special Programs and program performance.
Responsible for operations so that the program and patient care needs are met, profit margins are maintained, and overtime is controlled.
Clinical and operational leader for customers to support and understand their overall business objectives and critical success factors. Leads and facilitates monthly and quarterly business reviews for assigned customers and other standing meeting cadences with programs.
Defines, monitors, assesses, manages, and reports operational and financial data, including analysis for trends and development of process improvement plans.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing
3-5 years of relevant home health clinical leadership experience
Active and unrestricted RN license
Basic Qualifications
Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
Strong clinical background with direct knowledge of infusion therapy
Proven ability to demonstrate success with nursing or business initiatives
Team and nursing management capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
