Director, Model Based Enterprise Leader at Space
Lockheed Martin
Job ID: 697877BR Date posted: Jul. 16, 2025
Description:The mission matters. So do the people behind it. With advancing defense technology at our core, what sets us apart is a culture of collaboration, purpose, and impact.
Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more— we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future.
At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We’re creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision.
We’re erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We’re advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.
Program Management Director of Space Model Based Enterprise (SMBE) will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of all aspects of SMBE. The PM will interact with key stakeholders within Space, across all Lockheed Martin business areas, and be the Space MBE representative to the enterprise. The PM will be responsible for delivering all solutions that are part of the SMBE architecture and for driving synergies across LM. The PM will also aid Space stakeholders with adoption and benefits tracking.
Currently less than 2/3 of Space employees are aware in how 1LMX will change their roles. Space adoption of MBE is very low and there is new emphasis from the LM COO and CFO to accelerate adoption. This role will lead the Space development of the key MBE solutions and drive adoption of these solutions.
Development of MBE capabilities has historically been a set of single point of use tools and techniques. However, the benefit grows exponentially when the tools and techniques are used together. Therefore, Space must create an integrated MBE baseline that’s easy to deploy and adopt across all our networks (unclass and classified).
The MBE Program Manager, will drive integration and delivery, bringing disparate tools and teams together
This position DOES NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, CO , and be expected to work in the office.

• Experienced at managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of a program using agile and EVM techniques.
• Experienced at negotiating and managing subcontractors and vendors.
• Experienced as either a program manager, chief engineer, or systems engineer with the design and development of complex software systems.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TS/SCI clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
