Director, Michigan Transportation Engineering & Operations Lead

Parsons’ is seeking a Director to lead our team.  Reporting to the Vice President Northeast Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the operational aspects of projects and staff. The successful candidate would take over as the face of Parsons with local clients and help pursue/win new work by proactively engaging and maintaining a visible presence with MDOT stakeholders.  Your background as an accomplished Project Manager with the agency will be a great complement to our collaborative and experienced team eager to help you thrive and continue building on our achievements. You’ll benefit by being the main point of contact for Parsons in Michigan both externally and internally, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, profitability and growth of the operation through winning new projects and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.  Additional responsibilities include leveraging key accounts, closely coordinating and collaborating across business lines while providing innovative leadership.  We have an established management and project delivery team that will support leadership initiatives and business imperatives.

The ideal location for this position is our Troy, MI office.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related technical/business field.

Licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan, with considerable work experience in Michigan and/or neighboring states.

15+ years of managing diverse transportation infrastructure projects with a track record of successful delivery of MDOT projects.

Background in civil engineering with design of highway, bridge or traffic projects.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Experience leading and participating in business development activities.

Salary Range: $155,600.00 - $280,100.00
