As a Director for the KCP R&D Restroom business, you will be accountable for envisioning, developing, and commercializing end-to-end global innovation that delivers competitively advantaged products to delight customers and delivers global K-C Professional growth. 

In this role, you will:

Be accountable for envisioning, developing, and commercializing global innovation that delivers competitively advantaged technologies, processes and products that delight our customers and delivers global K-C enterprise growth.  The scope of this role is end-to-end: from front end innovation to development, commercialization, and life cycle maximization.

Core team member on both the KCP Global R&D leadership and the Washroom Global Leadership Teams, providing leadership to deliver the R&D plans for Washroom product needs within

Create Strategic and Annual Business Plans through the savvy application of science and technology. 

Develop and implement the Washroom Innovation, Technology, and Intellectual Property Strategy to deliver a robust product pipeline, as the primary driver of growth in our Strategic Business Plans over the next 3 years. 

Indirectly manage internal customers during the global joint business planning process to prioritize innovation and synthesize to develop larger, platform big bets. 

Ensure maximization of ROI on $8MM+ Washroom R&D Budget. 

Partner with and works within KC one R&D to develop and share best practices 

Collaborate with KCP R&D and FEI leaders to develop robust plans for KCP 

Ensure alignment and delivery of regional innovation and renovation programs to drive business results. 

Lead the stage gate innovation process for Washroom Category, including the management of the Washroom portfolio and contributing to overall process improvements. 

Lead and develops talent of R&D Managers and a direct team.  Manages structure and flow of resources to maximize resources and investment. Provides indirect leadership to Regional R&D Managers. 

Lead development of multiple technologies required to create a variety of Washroom products, including Bath Tissue, Towels, Facial Tissue, Skin Care Formulation and related Dispensers.  

Build KCP R&D brand both internally and externally through key partnerships and industry alliances including a variety of industrial and academic development partners. 

Partner with the KCP Supply Chain team and mills to ensure delivery of all key Annual Business Plan, especially to commercialize innovation and to deliver key cost savings programs at K-C internal and external contract manufacturers. 

Core team member of Global One R&E leaders across the enterprise to ensure a holistic approach to talent development, maximizing our resources, adopt/apply and process improvements. 

Accountability for managing, envisioning, and developing talent in numerous technical disciplines, including the following: Material development, Process development, Product development, Packaging engineering , Front-end innovation incubation, Materials and product testing, Industrial design

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline required. MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.  

15 years or more of prior relevant experience with at least 5 years as a Team Leader at senior levels. 

Experience driving clarity in developing and delivering value propositions. 

Proven ability to successfully lead leaders and large teams. 

Track record of continuous improvement and transformational change. 

Experience building strong differentiated innovation pipelines within multiple categories.  

Strong and relevant experience in forming technologies with related advanced technical education preferred. 

Proven experience of strategy development, business case development and utilization of portfolio management and stage gate process to drive ROI and a robust pipeline. 

Cross-functional and/or cross-technology experiences preferred.

Salary Range: 181,220 – 234,260 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
