What you'll do The Director, Japan Marketing is a key member of the International marketing team responsible for helping to drive sustainable and consistent revenue growth. The successful candidate will drive go-to-market planning and execution for Docusign’s marketing programs across Japan to grow awareness, capture demand and accelerate pipeline. The successful individual will have a solid understanding of the SaaS market and ideally experience in scale ups in Japan or APJ. This is a high impact role that combines strategy, leadership, project management, creative thinking, demand generation and execution. Developing, mentoring and hiring talent into the Japan Marketing team is key to ensuring success over the long term. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, APJ Marketing. Responsibility Build and own the marketing strategy for the Japan and be able to turn strategy into a plan that delivers sustainable growth Use data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for improvement across the entire GTM function Define which key tactics to use to engage our ideal audiences that drive action including 1st/3rd - party events, webinars, digital marketing, PR and content marketing programs Collaborate closely with business development teams to ensure success of marketing programs Track and analyse industry trends and competitor efforts to extend the company’s leadership position Demonstrate leadership to positively influence cross functional teams and communicate up to senior leadership Ensure close alignment with the Global Demand Centre to localise relevant programs for the Japan Market Source and manage local vendors for program execution Build and manage a team of high performers Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 10+ years of high-tech marketing experience with 5 in leadership positions People management experience and building scaling high performance teams Experience marketing technical solutions to specific industry verticals, with multi-channel distribution efforts Experience successfully managing cross functional stakeholder relationships Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English 10%+ Travel required Preferred Strong leadership, strategy, and execution skills with demonstrated track record of scaling a technology company from 10-100 Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills Experience managing teams across multiple countries and languages A strong mix of analytical and creative skills Experience marketing through, with and to partners Building engagement programs to influence C-Suite Good knowledge of salesforce.com CRM and marketing automation technology Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
