What You'll Do We’re looking for a Director, Investment Funds and Financial Risk Management to join our Asset Management Risk team. In this role, you’ll support the execution of the second line global investment risk management program that meets business objectives and regulatory needs. You will play a lead role in developing, implementing, and maintaining best practices for effective management of investment related risks in fixed income and equities. Provide independent and objective assessments of investment related portfolio risks to help identify areas of potential exposure, and support risk-based decision making in collaboration with the investment teams Support day-to-day risk monitoring, reporting, and analysis with reporting to Funds governing bodies Analyze and provide insights and consulting to the business on financial risks such as capital at risk, earnings volatility, seed capital at risk, trading counterparty and business FX risk Provide risk consulting and engagement on business risk including investment model governance, JV oversight, product risk and clients at risk. Work on strategic projects involving data processing and quantitative analysis (including but not limited to exposure analysis, scenario analysis, and stress testing) Promote a strong risk management culture throughout the organization through training and education initiatives with business partners and risk management staff Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Who You Are Bachelor's degree or equivalent 10+ years related work experience in the asset management industry or investment industry in risk management or portfolio management Broad knowledge of financial and investment risk management practices and in-depth experience with risk tools like Barra, Aladdin, Bloomberg, Axioma In-depth experience within a global asset management firm with asset experience, preferably in Equities and/or Fixed Income Strong technical understanding of market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, scenario analysis, stress testing, and VaR/tracking error methodologies using tools such as MSCI Liquidity Tool & Stat Pro Confluence Derivatives experience Skills That Will Help You Stand Out CIT – Collective Investment Trust coverage experience CFA, FRM or advanced degree in finance, econometrics, or statistics Global experience including Europe, Asia, Middle East Proven and strong abilities and skills in the areas of written and verbal communication, presentations, attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, decision making, consulting, influencing, and relationship building skills Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively work independently and within a collaborative team environment, lead others, take initiative, resolve conflict, be flexible, and prioritize multiple tasks Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent tools for quantitative analysis and large data set handling. Machine learning experience is a plus Must be comfortable providing consultation and direction to individuals at varying levels within the organization, boards and committees Travel, including overnight stays, may be required periodically. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $153000 - $207000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible No Additional Information Location(s) We’re open to considering in-office or hybrid talent. Locations for hybrid talent are New York, Chicago, and Des Moines are preferred.
