Director, Investment Banking and Equity Research Technology

We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and execution-focused Chief of Staff to support Investment Banking and Equity Research technology. This individual will act as a key partner and trusted advisor to the executive, helping to drive priorities, manage operational effectiveness, and ensure seamless communication and alignment across multiple technology teams.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong business acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to influence and coordinate across functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with the Technology Executive to drive strategic initiatives and track progress on key goals and deliverables.
Organizational Management: Maintain the current org structure, monitor headcount, and support workforce planning. Ensure alignment with broader technology and HR strategy.
Budget Oversight: Manage and track the technology budget, including forecasting, actuals, variance analysis, and reporting. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Vendor Management: Coordinate and oversee strategic vendor relationships, including contract tracking, performance management, and renewal timelines.
Executive Communications & Reporting: Prepare and deliver updates, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership. Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the organization and across stakeholder groups.
Meeting & Event Coordination: Plan and facilitate leadership meetings, offsites, and key decision-making forums. Ensure agendas are clear, outcomes are documented, and follow-ups are tracked.
Information Management: Serve as a central hub for managing information flow across the executive’s team and other key partners. Anticipate and surface issues before they become problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy, Finance, Operations, or Program Management role—preferably in a financial services or technology organization.
Strong analytical, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, Teams, Slack).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Discretion, integrity, and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
