Job Overview

Senior Sales Trader within the International Cash business responsible for delivering Citi’s execution capabilities to Canadian clients.  The ideal candidate has existing client relationships, is an expert at implementing execution strategies in Equity Markets to Canadian accounts and works well in a team environment.   



Responsibilities:

Actively cover Canadian domiciled clients to generate client flow and revenue for Citi’s franchiseBuild and maintain relationships with key clientsCoordinate with Trading, Research, ECM and other organizations across Markets and Citi’s broader businessDeliver content to clients and work closely with Advisory Sales to optimize collection channels for consumed resourcesLead strong governance and controlsWork in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructureBuild a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethicsAppropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities ServicesAdhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to youObtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframeAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in a related roleSeries 7, 63, and 55/57. Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Trader Training Course (TTC)In-depth knowledge of markets, especially Canada and USAProven history of successful sales trading franchiseRequired licensing and registrations as applicableAdvance analytical and numerical competencyConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEffective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterpartiesKnowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, market structure technicalities

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
