Director, Integrated Evidence and Digital Health
**Director, Integrated Evidence & Digital Health** Otsuka is constantly aiming to advance our business by delivering successful new products and advancing patient centric solutions that will add value to our core business and stakeholders. The Global Integrated Evidence & Innovation team works to achieve these goals by supporting integrated evidence planning, evidence generation operational excellence and digital innovation. We are seeking a Director to support both Global Integrated Evidence and Digital Health R&D team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with, and/or be a critical partner to Early Phase & Translational Medical, Clinical Development, Value and Real-World Evidence, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Data and Analytics, Digital Health and Commercial functions. Responsibilities common to both integrated evidence strategy and digital health activities are as follows: + Drive process with cross-functional teams for the development and ongoing maintenance of evidence plans for prioritized assets/programs + Gather pertinent information, apply scientific expertise to synthesize information for cross-functional discussion, lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops including agenda preparation, documentation of meeting outcomes + Apply expertise in curating relevant materials for evidence plan development to facilitate pressure testing of these plans and challenge functional representatives to ensure plans are aligned with global asset strategy and overall asset vision + Provide expert scientific feedback on study concepts and study protocols in governance meeting and review processes + Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations and progress on strategic initiatives + Prepare, review and present materials to Otsuka and alliance governance committees and leadership Responsibilities specific to digital health include: + Support the development and execution of digital health R&D strategies, focusing on digital therapeutics and/or digital measures/biomarkers + From ideation to implementation of digital measures/biomarkers, identify KPIs, challenges and develop actionable solutions + Assist the team with various ad hoc tasks as needed, including monitoring the ecosystem for emerging technologies and novel measures, measurement techniques, conducting literature review. **Qualifications/Required** Knowledge/Experience and Skills: + Demonstrated expertise in psychiatry, neurology, nephrology or immunology + At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or evidence generation and/or digital health in life sciences / technology sector + Demonstrated solid understanding of evidence requirements in US and globally, key concepts and principles related to Ph1-4 clinical studies and non-interventional studies including an understanding of strengths and limitations of a methodological approaches and clinical trial designs + Possess an enterprise mindset and experience establishing strong collaborative internal relationships in a matrixed organization with global and local colleagues + Ability to gain senior leadership alignment on functional area initiatives and programs + Excellence in strategic thinking and problem solving + Demonstrated skills working in complex corporate environments and exercising influence without authority + Self-directed with eternal curiosity and desire to learn + Ability to line-manage and mentor direct reports and ensure positive team dynamics + Strong scientific writing skills and interpersonal written/verbal communication skills + Ability to create an environment with high energy, enthusiasm, and motivation **Educational Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in life sciences **Competencies** **Accountability for Results -** Stay focused on key strategic objectives, be accountable for high standards of performance, and take an active role in leading change. **Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving -** Make decisions considering the long-term impact to customers, patients, employees, and the business. **Patient & Customer Centricity -** Maintain an ongoing focus on the needs of our customers and/or key stakeholders. **Impactful Communication -** Communicate with logic, clarity, and respect. Minimum $183,335.00 - Maximum $274,160.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work.
