Director, Hybrid Infrastructure

As the Director of Hybrid Infrastructure, you will lead and drive the strategic vision and delivery of FactSet’s global infrastructure technology. This role is responsible for overseeing teams that manage a variety of crucial operations including Data Center Operations, Computing and Server Administration, Storage and Backup, and integration of Cloud Infrastructure. The Director of Infrastructure will ensure the reliable, secure, cost-effective delivery of technology to meet needs of FactSet’s clients while collaborating closely with other Technology and Product teams across FactSet.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides an executive-level interface between the technology department and the rest of the business, collaborating to identify ways technology can streamline and optimize business processes Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical strategies into actionable business insights.Partners with Engineering leadership and their teams across the firm to foster collaboration to create a long-term visionTakes direct ownership to develop technical roadmaps to deliver a modernized, hybrid ecosystem that ensures the speed, stability, scalability, and cost optimization for products and workloadsAnticipates and probes issues and contingencies with the early involvement of others, creating a culture that translates strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables. Reports roadmap progress to Management and Stakeholders; including KPIs, Key Business Deliverables and Risk Assessments. Promotes a client-centric culture within the team.  Builds teams by hiring, training, and developing talent including personnel management: hiring, promotions, resource planning, cost planning, compensation planningInnovates and streamlines operations by implementing cutting-edge technologies and practices.Ensures high availability and reliability of services through effective data center operations, virtualization, and server system administration.Implements and maintains IT disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and business disruption.Leads vulnerability management initiatives, ensuring timely patching and adherence to security protocols.Promotes adherence to ITIL and ITSM practices, aligning infrastructure processes with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or EquivalentExcellent communication skills, with the ability to lead business and technology discussions at all levels A demonstrable ability to grasp business concepts/requirements and translate into technology outcomes10 or more years’ leadership experience successfully managing technology professionals in a fast-paced, high growth business with demonstrable experience leading cross-functional technology teams, planning, capital expense budgeting, and process improvement Knowledge of the financial services eco-system is expectedExcellent management skills with strong attention to detail and bias for action Exceptional collaboration, organizational & communication skills Detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture Proven extensive experience in a leadership role within a global technology infrastructure.Deep expertise in data center operations, cloud infrastructure, and virtualization.Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks and their practical applications.Demonstrated ability to optimize costs and drive strategic technical initiativesTrack record of being a change agent, one who can drive new and commercial thinking across the organization and the behaviors supporting such, while engaging in a collaborative, inclusive leadership style Occasional travel required
