We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Governance & Capacity Planning to lead the governance, execution, and continuous improvement of our project delivery processes across the organization. This role will be instrumental in driving Bond-wide adoption of standardized project management methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals, and optimizing resource allocation through robust capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Governance & Methodology
Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of standardized project management frameworks (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) across all departments.
Ensure consistent application of project delivery processes and tools across the organization.
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure project performance, compliance, and delivery success.
Capacity Planning & Resource Management
Analyze current and future resource needs across all active and planned projects.
Develop and maintain capacity planning models to optimize workforce utilization and project staffing.
Collaborate with department heads to forecast demand and align resources with strategic priorities.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead and mentor an indirect team of project and program managers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and project teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve resource conflicts and prioritize initiatives.
Portfolio Oversight
Oversee the organization’s project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and efficient execution.
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on project status, risks, and resource utilization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
Proven experience in capacity planning and resource management at an enterprise level.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Certifications required: PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master and/or Agile certifications.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with project management and capacity planning tools. Experience with MS Dynamics modules and MS Project an asset.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a matrixed or multi-site organization.
Ability to drive change and influence at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
