Cvent, Inc. is seeking a bright, goal-oriented, high energy and hardworking individual to fill our open position for our Tysons Corner, VA office. The selected candidate will work on both domestic and international tax accounting, tax compliance and tax research; and will review and coordinate the work of 5-6 global tax team members. This is a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to grow your professional accounting and tax skills. This position reports to our VP, Global Tax. In This Role, You Will: Manage service providers and coordinate between outsourced functions and internal requirements to support outsourced delivery. Assist in diligence prior to and integration post M&A. Oversee the tax aspects of US GAAP purchase accounting process for acquisitions. Assist in managing tax risks associated with the company’s changing tax structure. Assist with ongoing business requirements such as tax forecasting and global audit support. Manage the preparation of federal/state tax returns by collecting, analyzing and formatting financial information for service providers. Manage Cvent’s global tax calendar and the preparation and filing of local income tax, property tax, and information returns. Operationalize transfer pricing and manage related intercompany transactions Improve Cvent’s tax procedures and processes by developing or implementing best practices Coordinate with global accounting and tax team members Manage and coordinate tax audits and act as principal point of contact for notifications from tax agencies. Research the implications of changing tax laws and advise on tax related issues Plan, direct, and execute various ad hoc tax projects Perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum Develop tax technical skills of more junior members of the team Here's What You Need: Bachelor's Degree – Accounting, CPA or MS-Tax preferred 10-15+ years Big 4 and corporate tax experience Requires experience with tax planning related to M&A Must have 2+ years managing tax team/function Experience with ASC 740 tax provision Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft including Outlook, Word, and Excel (Index/Match, Sumifs, V and H Lookups, and Power Queries). Experience with OneSource preferred Detail oriented & ability to multi-task Physical Demands We are not able to offer sponsorship for this position
