Candidate will lead a cross-functional team(s) to develop actionable insights, forecasts, and competitive assessments that will inform the development and competitive positioning in this expanding therapeutic area for J&J. This role will work across the enterprise to ensure marketing input into the CDT(s). The GCSO Director of Strategic Marketing is responsible for progressing additional early-stage assets through commercialization. The Director, Global Strategic Marketing reports to the Sr. Director, Global Commercial Strategy L&L Portfolio Strategy and Early Development and will be part of the team that leads the commercial strategy, launch excellence, & market shaping. This role will contribute to optimizing the value of our global J&J L&L portfolio, by collaborating with key functions across the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO), J&J Research and Development (R&D), and J&J business regions. **Responsibilities:** + Lead commercial / marketing initiatives for assigned CDTs (early L&L assets) with cross-regional and cross-functional alignment. Leveraging Mx framework and COMPASS process for development milestones. + Collaborate with GCSO Medical and Market Access partners to ensure cohesive strategy input to 3M and GCT teams + Coordinate with key cross-functional partners (Analytics, Finance, Competitive Intelligence, etc.) to develop differentiating value proposition and commercial forecast valuation models + Partner Sr Dir across a diverse set of initiatives to raise the skills and level of performance to deliver results on key projects/initiatives as well as perform other work-related duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** The qualified candidate should be an agile teammate who is able to lead and contribute in cross-functional teams and in a multi-cultural environment. They can gain alignment and drive decision making with regional teams on the commercial strategy. They have the ability to understand, interpret and communicate commercial and competitive implications of technical/clinical/regulatory data. This individual has the capability to interact with R&D colleagues on scientific issues. They demonstrate strong leadership presence through influencing without authority with high-level management and cross-functional partners. They will demonstrate an attention to detail and excellent critical thinking. Education: + Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required. Postgraduate qualification, PhD, MBA, or other graduate degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred. Required: + A minimum of 10 years of dynamic experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. + A minimum of 3 years demonstrated in-line marketing, marketing support, or sales management experience ( or the equivalent) implementing marketing strategy is required. + An ability to handle multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and drive decision-making is required. + Strong executive, verbal and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills. Preferred: + Prior consultancy work to assess and evaluate products (Heme/ Onco) + Prior Oncology/Hematology/Specialty/Orphan Disease experience or scientific background is preferred. + Brand responsibility, product launch, experience in working with global or multi-cultural teams and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical development is preferred. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $146,000 to $251,850. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
