Director, Global Process Owner

Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. **Primary Job Function** This role is responsible for business process improvement capabilities to advance the implementation of a multidivisional enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and other enabling technologies and will focus on end to end process optimization and standardization across the business and corporate functions. This role is specific to Supply Chain (SCM) across all organizations associated with these processes, internal and external to BTS/BSS. The incumbent will be the global owner of the business design associated with technology and implementation of business process standardization, harmonization, and improvement programs/initiatives within the Supply Chain end to end process area for ERP and other enabling technologies. **CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** ― Provide oversight as the approval authority to any proposed process changes for any ERP and any other enabling technologies across Divisions and geographies for global Abbott. ― Act as the global process and data standards sponsor for the process area, provide leadership for end to end process area operations across Abbott. ― Contribute to long range business planning by providing needed insights into process area growth projections and/or improvement strategies. ― Set the strategic direction for global process design. ― Work directly with the ERP program teams as the business owner of the end to end process to provide overall business strategy and prioritization of initiatives. ― Lead the process harmonization and associated business systems solutioning required to support the end to end process strategies and gain buy-in from key stakeholders. ― Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Act as a liaison with Abbott Division and Corporate business partners, and other customers. ― Initiate work requests and service delivery changes within the process area. ― Monitor continuous improvement related to the process area/service provider(s) and create opportunities to bring service innovation to Abbott across the end to end process. Ensure adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes. **Position Accountability and Scope** ― Work closely with Supply Chain Management Executives for leadership responsibilities related to business strategy, business case development, and business design decision making. ― Work with/be supported by functional process SME’s for legacy process systems in the divisions/countries. ― Change Management: Change management at a senior level is essential for securing buy-in from senior management. Process improvement brings with it a high degree of change, and it is important that the senior management understand the intention and motivation behind the GPM role. Must be able to build consensus with Abbott across functional lines, division lines, and country lines. ― Must be viewed as the technology related process leader within the respective function and other organizations associated with the end-to-end process, as the position will be responsible for influencing all levels of Abbott, from executive to staff members across the respective functions and operating units business management at the Corporate, Division, Region, Area, and Country levels. ― Interact effectively with leaders of support functions as new processes are designed and implemented (Information technology, Internal/external audit, legal, compliance, etc.) **Minimum experience/training required** + 10+ years of hands-on operations experience, 2-3 of those years from transaction through to close, inclusive of external and internal reporting + Hands-on experience in manufacturing and logistics/warehouse management is expected. Additionally, hands-on experience in Quality and Planning is preferred. + Formal continuous improvement training (e.g. LEAN / Six Sigma) is expected. + Benchmarking and/or service level assessment experience. + In-depth understanding of SAP or other major ERP systems capabilities is expected. + Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise systems or process strategy initiatives. + Ability to work with others in a formal process for solving issues and problems. + Program and project management experience required. + Ability to work and collaborate with others, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leverage relationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results.Decisive yet collaborative leadership style. + Ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Executive-level presentation skills. The base pay for this position is $147,300.00 – $294,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
