Your New Role...
The Director, Global Franchise is responsible for collaborating with WBD divisions and our partners to build out brand strategies that accelerate the business and grow global market share. Supporting the VP, Franchise Development and Strategy in overseeing the delivery of specific workstreams, this role requires someone who is customer-obsessed, data-driven, an expert in premiere WBD franchises, such as Harry Potter, DC, and Looney Tunes, a big thinker who can communicate vision, and an operator who excels at establishing the roadmap for how to achieve strategic business and franchise goals. This role will have a specific focus on Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and other live action WBD Franchises.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Contributes to the long-range strategic franchise plans, leveraging insights about consumers and the brand to identify new business opportunities, drive revenue and sustained annual growth across all lines of business, and that ultimately align with the larger WBD strategic goals and objectives
Oversees and leads the management of specific strategic workstreams that contribute to the alignment and delivery of the strategic brand plans. Responsible for the critical path, objectives, and measurement of these workstreams and ensures stakeholders are kept across progress
Leads ad-hoc strategic brand and franchise plan initiatives to drive growth and fan engagement
Engages in the assessment of franchise strength within and across markets, to inform data-driven franchise growth plans
Develops executive presentations that influence and rally the organization around a shared vision and strategic plan, summarizing key data, strategic business decisions and recommendations, and a roadmap to achieve franchise goals
Engages in the development of narrative and integrating franchise stories across all franchise touchpoints in the flywheel and WBD businesses (e.g., Consumer Products, Licensed Global Experiences, Games, Studio Tours, Content)
Engages in governance of the canon, working closely with creative directors to ensure that story is at the heart of everything we do and develop
Leads projects and workstreams that engage Sr Business and creative leaders across the enterprise to grow our Brands and Franchises
Develops brand and franchise guidelines and frameworks. Drives brand and franchise approvals, including providing feedback and solutions, to ensure that brand and franchise standards are upheld, equity built while also furthering the business.
Be a steward of the brand, ensuring brand excellence and consistency, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Divisions, Partners, and Territories, and driving synergies across the flywheel
Qualifications & Experience...
Work Experience
Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience working on a brand, marketing, analytics and brand strategy
Experience bringing content to life through product innovation and experiences
Proven success in project management and execution required
Expertise in brand and franchise analytics, such as customer research, market data sources and financials
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
4 yr college degree required
MBA or similar Masters desired
Knowledge/Skills
Ability to convert story and narrative to product and experiences
Ability to think strategically in planning across consumer touch points
Expertise with data, and the ability to derive insight and strategy from multiple data sources
Excellent project management, prioritization and planning skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven track-record in communicating with all levels of staff, internal divisions and external stakeholders
Very strong presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and excellent judgment. Able to work effectively with senior level executives and influence at all levels of the organization.
Proven track-record of managing workflow to meet tight deadlines while handling high volume of work. Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive demeanor
High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,350.00 - $234,650.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
