Director, Global Commodity Management, GPU, Google Cloud
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience. + 15 years of commodity management or supply chain management experience in Technology, Chip Manufacturing, or related industry. + 15 years of industry experience in multiple of the following disciplines: Engineering/Engineering Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Commodity Management. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or MBA. + Understanding and experience working in complex end-to-end (e.g., plan/NPI/source/make/deliver/PLM) supply chains. + Recognition as a thought leader in the industry, with an excellent network of industry relationships and an ability to execute on change with the long term in mind. As the Director, Global Commodity Management, you will lead the team responsible for defining and executing Google’s strategic sourcing of key GPU, CPU, OEM Hardware, and Application Specific Standard Products (ASSP), Standard Semiconductors and Passive devices/products. You will engage with multiple Google organizations to implement data center solutions crafted by Google’s creative engineers. You will also lead a cross-functional effort to innovate the Technical Infrastructure commodity supply chain throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will be innovative and use related industry knowledge and experiences in complex project management and global supply chain management (e.g., supplier, technology sourcing, delivery, quality, and cost management). The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$356,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Assess cost, capacity, and capability of key GPU and GPU suppliers. + Drive multi-sourcing efforts and perform sub-tier supplier analysis to assess and reduce risk across multiple supply chain risk areas. + Develop and implement commodity strategies to optimize between required supply, inventory, and price to enable Google capacity deployment. + Lead a team of Commodity Managers. Manage a cross-functional team to successfully shape and execute aligned strategies. + Explore and implement new supply chain business models and operations capabilities as appropriate to increase performance and lower TCO.
