Otis Worldwide has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Global Business Development who’s ready to help us deliver on our commitments today, plan our strategy for the future and leave their fingerprints on the organization for years to come. In a time of exciting transformation at Otis, this is an opportunity to play a role at Otis, supporting the Business Development Group in assessing business opportunities, developing strategy, business plans, roadmaps, and all other aspects of the M&A and integration process to support portfolio and margin expansion. 

This position is fully remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.

The Role:

As a Director, Global Business Development (Investment M&A Professional) your responsibilities will include:

Identify acquisition & investment opportunities that accelerate profitable growth strategy by conducting detailed market/competitive analysis

Prioritize and funnel acquisition targets by establishing and maintaining relationship with potential acquisition targets

Execute M&A deals within the Americas (incl due diligence, integration efforts, negotiation process)

Conduct End-to-End process and standard works aligned with One Team strategic framework

Implement post-acquisition review to secure target financial profile and ensure financial discipline

Assess the portfolio regularly to identify divestiture opportunities

Coordinate across global functions for pipelining planning, reporting and monthly updates to senior leadership

To Be Successful, You’ll Need the Following:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or related field

Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in corporate or consultancy contexts in a similar role

Ability to collaborate with international cross-functional teams

Self-starter with the experience to work independently, with minimal oversight and guidance

Strong finance, valuation and analytical skills

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package in particular Excel and Power Point

Excellent knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications

Good knowledge of general and management accounting

In-depth knowledge of M&A deals and company valuation models

Previous experience in Elevator industry

Strategic mindset: anticipates future trends and implications accurately. Readily poses future scenarios. Articulates credible pictures and visions of possibilities that will create sustainable value. Creates competitive and breakthrough strategies that show a clear connection between vision and action.

The salary range for this role is $175,000-$190,000.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future.  Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
