OT999: 1CP - Farmington, CT One Carrier Place, Farmington, CT, 06032 USAWe are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our planning process and drive strategic business initiatives. This critical role involves aligning financial processes with organizational goals to enhance efficiency. You will manage the annual planning process, support regional FP&A teams, and collaborate with strategy and operations teams. You will oversee long-range planning and ensure effective communication with the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Additionally, you will manage Quarterly Business Reviews, drive FP&A process improvements, and oversee incentive compensation targets to align rewards with organizational objectives.
What you'll do:
Annual Planning Process: Lead and manage the annual planning process, offering guidance and support to regional FP&A teams and global business functions to ensure seamless execution.Strategy Prioritization: Collaborate with strategy and operations teams to provide essential finance support, aiding the prioritization of key investments.Long Range Planning: Oversee the 3-year long-range planning process, working closely with the global strategy team to support initiative-based modeling and long-term success.Board of Directors/Audit Committee Collaboration: Ensure effective communication and reporting to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee in partnership with executive finance leadership.Quarterly Business Review: Manage the Quarterly Business Review process, coordinating with the President's Office and other functions to deliver impactful content.Incentive Compensation Management: Oversee incentive compensation targets and performance tracking, aligning rewards with organizational objectives throughout the year.FP&A Process Improvement: Drive global FP&A process improvement initiatives, including developing a robust business planning platform to enhance operations.What you'll have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fieldMaster of Business Administration (MBA) preferred7-10 years of relevant experience in a similar environment or in a planning/consultant roleOrganizational and Analytical Skills: Demonstrated superior organizational and analytical abilities to manage and optimize processes effectively.Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including proficiency in delivering engaging presentations.Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support complex data analysis and presentation.Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.Problem-Solving and Critical-Thinking: Sharp problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to adapt and enhance existing methods, driving continuous improvement.Collaboration and Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global, team-oriented environment.Engagement with Senior Management: Proven ability to work effectively at all company levels, including regular engagement with senior management to facilitate impactful communication.Influence and Decision-Making: Skill in influencing decisions by advocating for new concepts and approaches that enhance business processes.Complex Problem Addressing: Capability to address complex issues with solutions that consider operational processes, revenue generation, and human capital management.Geographic Knowledge: This role does not require extensive knowledge of cultural or regulatory landscapes.
The salary range for this role is $180,000-200,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
