**Job Summary**
The Director, Regional Financial Operations provides strategic financial oversight and support to hospital Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) within an assigned region. This role assists with financial planning, policy adherence, and operational improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives. The Director collaborates closely with Division Vice Presidents and other corporate leaders to achieve targeted financial performance and operational efficiency across facilities.
**Essential Functions**
+ Oversees and completes Division financial reporting, including Run Rate Analysis, Mid-Month Projection, Flash, and responding to special requests from corporate and divisional leaders.
+ Assists with the preparation and review of financial projections, monthly and quarterly reports, and contractual analyses, providing insight and support to CFOs for variances and other financial discrepancies.
+ Conducts onsite visits to assist hospitals with month-end close processes, financial reporting accuracy, and compliance with corporate policies.
+ Provides financial analysis, trending reports, and budget verification to support facility operations and corporate reporting requirements.
+ Monitors and assists with revenue enhancement plans, margin improvement initiatives, and productivity standards within the Division.
+ Updates and maintains Monthly Operating Review formats and participates in Monthly Operating Review calls to discuss financial performance and areas for improvement.
+ Conducts audits, service line analyses, and facility evaluations as needed to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required
+ 5-7 years of experience in healthcare financial management, including experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis required
+ 2-4 years of prior leadership experience in regional or divisional financial operations within a healthcare setting preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong knowledge of healthcare financial management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and productivity monitoring.
+ Proficiency in financial reporting systems and software, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
+ Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with hospital and corporate leadership.
+ Ability to travel regularly to hospital locations within the assigned region.
