The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst for Leica Biosystems is key business partner for the business, helping improve financial stability and decision making. You will also play a role in some global ad hoc projects as well as implementing process improvements.
We are currently seeking a Global Controller, Operations Finance who will be responsible for leading the operations finance teams for BEC LS. The Global Controller role is a detailed, hands-on role reporting to the CFO that will lead all operations finance matters for the OpCo and provide direct reporting leadership to Indianapolis, Loveland, San Jose, Bangalore, Suzhou and Marseille manufacturing finance organizations. The role requires occasional travel (domestic and international) required (15% of time).
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and implement monthly review of consolidated operations results. Also lead detailed bottom-up forecasts and actual results analysis to anticipate short- and long-term business trends that help drive improved operations performance. Partner with leaders at global operation sites to deliver on annual cost reduction objectives.
Identify and manage risk in manufacturing variances, capital expenditures and working capital, providing key recommendations to counter measure any risk identified.
Lead, motivate and develop team of finance controllers with direct management for the manufacturing sites in Indianapolis, US and Marseille, France and Bangalore, India.
Assist with special projects, including balance sheet reviews and financial modeling of large capital investments.
Advocate and champion continuous improvement and standard work within the functional area as well as throughout the organization. Participate in Kaizens / skill development opportunities across the OpCo and throughout the broader corporation.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field required with 20+ years experience OR Master's / Doctoral degree in field with 18+ years experience AND related experience includes 6+ years managing people
Experience in finance and accounting with increasing levels of responsibility and emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial analysis and modeling particularly within a manufacturing context.
Manufacturing cost accounting experience
Experience as a people leader, demonstrating the ability to get work done through others.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills needed for cross-functional, multi-site scope of role.
Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
Previous experience with enterprise performance management report writing (e.g. BPC, Hyperion) Oracle ERP and Oracle Business Intelligence
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Certified Public Accountant or CMA
The salary range for this role is $205,000 - $240,000 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
