Director, Finance

The Director of Corporate Finance is responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide financial aspects of At Home and drive the company’s financial strategy along with planning, budgeting, and forecasting.  In addition, this position will serve as the key business partner to Corporate C-suite executives, such as IT, HR, Finance, and other areas.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Drive the financial rigor of the company through leading planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in addition to monthly close processes such as variance analysisPlay a key active role in supporting CFO and VP of FinancePrepare financial materials to be presented to business partners, the Executive Team and the Company’s Board of DirectorsManage P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow modelingMaintain and continuously improve the performance management reporting, including daily, weekly, monthly reporting rhythms in accuracy, efficiency, and impactPrepare analysis to help aid in decision making and help assess the financial implications of business decisionsSupport Corporate C-suite departments and work cross functional with areas such as AccountingProvide input, analysis and recommendations as needed to help track progress against important company initiativesLead by example and contribute to a high functioning, collaborative finance teamPartner with the Information Technology team in an effort to automate functions and increase analytical capabilities within the group.  Have a thorough understanding of all database and analytical software tools Simultaneously manage several projects and participate in and facilitate group meetings with other teams related to financial analysis and policiesMaintain financial reporting system

 Qualifications and Competencies

10+ years of varied finance experience, different levels and different industries for the broadest possible experience.5+ years leading high performing teamsBachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance or accountingCPA and/or MBA a plusThe ability to collaborate with Executive Leadership and other business stakeholders Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills: including strong presentation skills.Strong project management and performance management skillsDemonstrated financial management experience, including the development of financial projections, budgets, resources and managing to these appropriatelyThe ability to successfully manage multiple initiates/projects in a deadline-driven environmentA positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environmentProficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) & knowledge of major planning systemsProficiency with large data sets and BI platforms and tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, APT)
