What's it all about?
The Director, EU VAS Acceptance Solutions will lead the VAS Acceptance Solutions and commercialisation team within the European region, focusing on the Visa Acceptance Platform and direct connections. This is an exciting opportunity within Visa’s Value Added Services team, focusing on creating or improving technical solutions that enhance security and customer experience throughout the Seller Journey, such as:
Payer Interfaces (In-person acceptance, digital acceptance, secure payment credentials, acceptance devices)Payment Processing (global gateway, card processing, settlement, orchestration, alternative payments)Platforms (Visa Intelligent Authentication, A.Net, onboarding, billing)This leadership role sits at the intersection of product innovation, product management, sales, client management, and sales engineering. It provides an incredible opportunity to lead a team of high-performing solution managers while gaining organizational visibility and career growth. The successful candidate must have strong product and commercial acumen, data-driven strategic thinking, great presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build fast rapport and credibility with stakeholders. The focus of the role is supporting the expansion of client-relevant Payer Interface solutions in key EU markets, with a product and commercial mindset, short- and long-term vision, and backed by data.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines and will be equally comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders of various seniority level.

Lead product strategies, localising Visa Acceptance Platform for Europe to enable growth in priority and new markets, gathering insights on regional competitive and regulatory intelligence activities to evaluate competitors' activities and implications to inform regional solutions leads decision-makingChampion data-driven decisions for new product introductions and enhancements of existing productsDrive the delivery of new payment methods, new solutions, and product enhancements to generate revenue opportunities for acceptance solutionsConduct market analysis and recommend strategies to leverage insights for product developmentIdentify, design, and submit business cases for new product opportunitiesDevelop Product Roadmaps to meet new market requirements and coordinate deployment plans with Global Product Management and Product DevelopmentAdvocate for designated products internally and externally, maintaining constant communication with markets and clientsDrive Commercialisation and scaling of acceptance solutions portfolioManage the P&L of owned products, utilizing strategic planning and analytics to grow the Acceptance Solutions businessInfluence and track the adoption of key new strategic initiatives for Visa EUSelect and monitor performance metrics to assess product performance, revenue, scalability, and longevityBuild and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and development opportunities to team members while upskilling Visa acceptance teams and drive operation excellenceDevelop sales strategies and collaborate with sales and business development teams to implement themDevelop value propositions for products or product suites and build effective offers for sales channelsThis is a hybrid position. QualificationsSenior level work experience in payments or related technology/financial services fieldPreferred: experience in payment processing, gateways, merchant acquiring, outstanding ability to inspire and coach, proven strategic and analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, ability to handle uncertainty, keen interest in emerging payment trends and competitive landscape, extensive experience in executing product adjustments, and understanding of the European marketsMultilingual fluency – English + European language highly desirableTravel: Approximately 15-20% travel requiredAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
