We are looking for a Director, Enterprise Architecture to play a key role in shaping the technology landscape at Global Payments. This individual will play a critical role in defining and governing enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives. This role ensures that IT investments align with business objectives by defining architectural frameworks, governance, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture principles, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
Partner with engineering and product teams to define technology roadmaps and ensure architectural consistency.
Support M&A initiatives by evaluating and integrating acquired technology landscapes.
Establish governance processes to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Provide hands-on guidance in the adoption of cloud, microservices, and API-led architectures.
Lead architectural assessments of new and existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
Mentor and coach senior enterprise architects, ensuring skill development and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advising leadership on their potential impact.
Participate in architectural reviews, ensuring consistency and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
Required Knowledge:
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies
Broad IT expertise across infrastructure, cloud, security, applications, and data management
Knowledge of business process modeling, system integration, and emerging technologies
Experience in developing IT roadmaps, technology strategies, and governance frameworks
Experience with both on-premise and cloud architectures, including Azure, AWS, and GCP
Experience Required:
10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology strategy.
Experience in the payments or financial technology industry preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms for executive audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address enterprise-wide challenges
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Expertise in cloud technologies, microservices architecture, API strategies, and enterprise integration patterns
Expertise in cloud computing, distributed systems, and application modernization.
