Overview:
The Director, Digital TV Sales Planning & Administration, is responsible for overseeing the execution and operational support of global TV licensing deals across digital platforms. This leader ensures seamless workflows, cross-functional alignment, and optimized revenue recognition across all territories. Reporting to the Sr. Director Global SVOD, Sales Administration, the Director plays a critical role in supporting digital strategy, managing a high-performing team, and driving process efficiency in a fast-paced, evolving media landscape.
Responsibilities
Manage the recruitment, training, development and individual performance of all direct reports. Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven team culture.Manage all global TV EST (Electronic Sell-Through) output deals, including scheduling and windowing.Design and implement scalable workflows to support this expanding digital business segment. Partner with Sales Administration leadership and IT to streamline system functionality and automate core processes.Coordinate with Operational teams, Account Managers, Distribution, and Sales to align product availability and market prioritiesReview and validate deal set-ups and field orders in internal databases, ensuring compliance with executed agreements.Ensure the team build effective working relationships with the Operational teams, Account Management teams, Sales and clients.Provide reporting and insights to Sales Administration and Digital Sales leadership regarding deal status and pipeline tracking.Liaise with Legal and Business Development to review future licensing deals with regards to product, terms and revenue.Manage the team to produce reports to schedule TV series by working with local broadcast schedules, the Rights group and Distribution.Provide direction to local sales administration teams regarding the optimal timing for scheduling TV EST releases to local clients.Act as a liaison between Sales Administration and Finance & Accounting, specifically assist with the reconciliation between the in-house databases.Ensure timely and accurate input of digital licenses into internal databases (e.g., SAFE), enabling efficient billing and content delivery.Support strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned by senior management, including providing guidance and assistance to broader Sales Administration teams and stakeholders as needed.The responsibilities associated with this position are not limited to the above descriptions and may be modified at any time by the Department or NBCUniversal
QualificationsBasic Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience managing operations or sales planning for global digital platforms (e.g., Apple, Amazon, Netflix).Experience interpreting legal agreements and translating licensing terms into operational requirements.Proficiency with enterprise systems and rights management tools (e.g., SAFE or similar databases).Desired Characteristics:
Strong understanding of TV/film content licensing, digital distribution rights, and media industry workflows.Strong familiarity with global broadcast schedules, rights tracking, and product eligibility processes.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated and highly organized, with exceptional attention to detailStrong analytical skills and comfort working with complex data sets and digital workflows.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Additional Requirements:
