As the Regional Lead for Decarbonisation, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic roadmap for Europe & AMETA. This includes CHEP and subcontractor operations, CHEP-operated fleets, and subcontracted transport decarbonisation levers. You will work cross-functionally to drive measurable progress across renewable electricity, electrification, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, waste solutions, water optimisation, and low/zero emissions vehicles.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Lead the definition of future roadmaps for decarbonisation levers, including renewable electricity, electrification, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, waste solutions, and low/zero emissions vehiclesPartner with relevant functions to identify and define specific decarbonisation opportunities and execute procurement elements of initiativesDevelop new or improved SOPs and business practices to advance decarbonisation objectivesAnalyze market trends, barriers, and enablers associated with industrial decarbonisation technologiesCoordinate and consolidate reporting of progress against a future roadmap, maintaining centralized reporting on decarbonisation dashboardsCoordinate the yearly revision of the Decarbonisation Financial Plan, gathering input from relevant cross-functional areasSupport the delivery of Brambles’ Climate Smart Partners program in the respective regionInform the development and iteration of goals and objectives based on technical understanding of technologies and market needsAdditional Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and lead initiatives to meet Brambles’ public sustainability commitmentsInfluence change management across the region to embed a low-carbon, regenerative mindset in decision-makingMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regional legislation and funding opportunities related to climate and sustainabilityEngage with customers and industry coalitions to foster collaboration and share best practicesRepresent Brambles at internal and external sustainability forums and eventsSupport supplier engagement programs and contribute to cross-regional knowledge sharingAbout the Person
8+ years in Supply Chain, with strong exposure to logistics and transportationDeep knowledge of decarbonization technologies, especially in road freight (e.g., TCO, infrastructure, deployment feasibility)Proven success in developing and executing decarbonization roadmapsFamiliarity with waste management and water optimization solutionsUnderstanding of carbon accounting (GHG Protocol, GLEC Framework)Experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, and cross-functional collaborationStrong project and change management skillsFinancial acumen, including cost modelling and budget oversightSkilled communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholdersComfortable working in a matrixed, multicultural environmentQualifications
