Are you ready to lead Spectrum's Data Platforms department as a Data Platforms Director, managing and optimizing data across the organization? In this position, you will implement and maintain platforms, troubleshoot system and data issues, and collaborate with software development and engineering teams to streamline deployments. You will be the first line of contact for complex production issues, ensuring features are developed to support continuous delivery for the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage Spectrum’s customer self-service APIs, infrastructures, and Content Management systems that power user experiencesEnsure APIs are instrumented and monitored for operational efficiency and system availabilityCollaborate with Spectrum teams across Product, Infrastructure, Application DevelopmentLead continual improvements in the data platform to accelerate new customer experiences and promote system adoption.Partner with senior leadership to transform Spectrum into a data-driven organizationDirect a high-performing team by recruiting, training, coaching and developing effective leaders and staffSupport teams to meet goals, mitigate risks, and communicate to stakeholdersEnsure data platform and services are compliant with industry and government regulations and maintain high security standardsPromote a strong customer service and business-oriented ethic within the team Exhibit strong management and leadership skills with a proactive participative management styleWorking Conditions

Required Qualifications
Experience:5+ years of Telecommunication industry leadership experience to include 6+ years of Software engineering team management 7+ years of Distributed computing software development Experience developing distributed software operating in JVM and on LinuxEducation:BA or BS College Degree or related work experienceSkills:Technical leader familiar with reactive platforms like Akka, Node.JS, Play, etc.Exposure to GraphQL based APIsComprehensive understanding of public cloud infrastructure services capabilities such as AWSComprehensive understanding of modern microservices architectures employed at web scaleAdvanced understanding of DevOps principles and practicesDemonstrated ability to lead people and projects to a successful, high impact outcomeEffective communication skills: Listening, verbal and writtenSelf-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creativeDemonstrates effective communications skills including presentation skillsAbilities:Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to operate customer facing production services at web scale, 24/7/365Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to analyze and resolve issues, both logical and interpersonalAbility to negotiate and defuse conflictAbility to act independently or with limited directionTravel Ability:Some travel requiredSchedule:Full timeOffice environmentThis position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
