**Job Description**
The **Director, Customer Outreach – Animal Health** , will lead and manage sales performance and sales strategy execution of Inside Sales, Field Sales Development, and Pet Acquisition teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a high-performance culture while enhancing talent diversity and expanding capabilities to drive exceptional sales results. Reporting to the Executive Director of Sales Enablement, the Director will identify opportunities to create solutions and implement technology that advances our Company as the leading partner for biologics, parasiticides, therapeutics, and technology within the assigned account base and sets the standard for our social commitment for the well-being of every animal.
Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of innovative customer contact approaches for a remote based department and staying abreast of technology advances in telephony, MCM, remote engagement, call monitoring, and virtual platforms to create efficiency and maximize reach and frequency with assigned accounts. This position provides financial acumen coaching and support to ensure acct negotiations meet gross-to-net (GTN) strategies and objectives.
The candidate must be focused strategically, in alignment with the Sales and Commercial Operations and Sales Enablement Lead, to think long term in building a road map to a future state of alignment within the department.
The position estimates travel requirements of 25-50%. Candidates located in proximity to an international airport are preferred.
**Responsibilities** may include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Maintain an understanding of external environmental factors and emerging industry trends and technologies that may impact our company's Animal Health's customers and markets, products, and operations
+ Develop and implement sales strategies and policies that are applicable to advancing Pet Acquisitions and veterinary clinic engagement.
+ Lead and contribute to cross-functional business teams to articulate customer perspective, customer journey enhancements, animal welfare and social commitment partnerships, MCM advancement, and supplemental call plan strategies.
+ Lead teams to effective sales growth and long-term relationships through value added partnerships.
+ Align the go to market strategies with all functional areas responsible for demand creation of our company's Animal Health Products and Services.
+ Provide direction and oversight on key strategies and tactics to advance the Pet Acquisition model and Inside Sales effectiveness in focused accounts including the development and execution of account plans, in close partnership with cross-functional leaders, while ensuring account plans are consistent with our company's Animal Health's outlined vision and current market dynamics
+ Provide key customers and industry influencers with leadership partnership and opportunities to contribute to strategic direction **.**
+ Collaborate with Area Business Leaders and Regional Managers and gain alignment on how to maximize resources in a coordinated and impactful manner
+ Collaborate with marketing to develop and drive plans for value added programs highlighting our company's Animal Health's products and services
+ Monitor and analyze product, customer, account agreement, and account level performance with key stakeholders and other appropriate parties
+ Evaluate and monitor industry technology advances and make recommendations for system enhancements to increase efficiencies and connectivity for customers.
+ Champion, develop, and integrate a consistent strategic platform, mission, and purpose for the organization through close collaboration with Companion Animal Leadership Team and other key stakeholders
**Background & Education** :
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Minimum of 10+ years of sales, marketing and/or business operations, including in-depth knowledge of the Animal Health market and competitive environment.
+ Minimum of 7 years of people management experience required
+ Must have knowledge of biological/vaccine market
+ Strong strategic leadership ability
+ Strong financial acumen and budget planning skills
+ Strong strategic capability to successfully manage portfolio of products at various lifecycle phases
+ Ability to manage budget and resources effectively
+ Knowledge and experience with key technologies critical for elevation the virtual selling space.
+ Proven track record of managing, leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team
+ Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders, drive business decisions, and marketing strategies
+ Demonstration of excellent Business Acumen, Relationship Management, Negotiation and Account Management skills
+ Expertise in financial and production forecasting, pricing analysis and strategy, new product launches and marketing communications planning and strategy
+ Advanced written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated computer proficiency including the MS Suite, Customer Relationship Management and web applications
**Preferred Skills/Abilities:**
+ MBA or Master’s Degree preferred

**U.S. Hybrid Work Model**

The salary range for this role is
$169,700.00 - $267,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
