Director, Corporate Strategy

Partnering with our business verticals and functions, the Strategy and Ventures team is assisting with their near- and longer-term growth strategies, as well as shaping our 2025 corporate strategy. We are also progressing ResMed’s corporate development agenda, focusing on growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships and new business creation.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated strategist, with expertise in corporate, business segment, and M&A strategy, to join the dynamic Corporate Strategy and Ventures team. As a thought leader/partner to executives and leaders across Resmed, this position will play a key role in shaping Resmed’s strategy, with specific focus on growth and M&A strategy and execution.

Let’s talk about Key Responsibilities

Leads growth and M&A strategy development initiatives, is a leading voice in the development of Resmed’s growth and M&A strategic agenda.​​Identifies industry, market and emerging trends and derives insights and implications for the business. ​Evaluates potential opportunities for organic and inorganic expansion and growth. ​Ability to lead analysis, contemplate the strategic rationale for M&A opportunities and recommend/evaluate high priority targets.​Identifies priority partnerships and minority venture investment opportunities that drive competitive advantage for Resmed and accelerate profitable growth.Actively builds market and competitive intelligence both to inform strategic decisions and the wider business development process.Coordinates the execution of strategic initiatives, develops and tracks implementation plans to ensure the focus and discipline required to achieve goals.

Let’s talk about Qualifications, Skills & Experience

MBA degree with specific coursework in Strategy and Finance. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related fields.5+ years of experience in business analytics, economics or strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate finance or strategy.Proven expertise within the healthcare or digital health industry, across partnerships, joint ventures, minority investment and M&A processes, with focus on growth and innovation.​Strong strategic acumen, analytical and strategic thinking toolkit.Expert communication and engagement skills to support executive decision-making.​Change catalyst able to engage and mobilize through influence and long-lasting partnerships.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is  $187,000 - $282,000 USD Annual
