TelevisaUnivision’s Distribution Partner Marketing team is looking for a talented, driven, and experienced marketing Director who has a strong interest in the media business and ever-evolving industry. Candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day relationship and ongoing activities for Distribution Partner Marketing team. The role is responsible for supporting all aspects of partnership management including subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, partner marketing initiatives and any/all other efforts. Candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities to expand TelevisaUnivision services across all partner channels and multi-disciplinary coordination across business lines to ensure the success of those partnerships.
The ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of entertainment or partner marketing, has worked across multi-channels and platforms in motion and static media, approaches visual storytelling with high levels of craftsmanship. Consistently demonstrate elevated design ability, editorial skills, AV/film production experience, and digital/social media expertise aligned with on-strategy creative that meets measurable business goals and requirements. Success in this role will be dependent upon candidates’ ability to learn and adapt quickly, build internal and external relationships, anticipate team needs, and be solution oriented when faced with challenges.
YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
Creation and execution of 360° partner marketing campaigns for TU services in the U.S., including brand campaigns, mid-funnel multi-title creative, DTC creative, OTT, TVOD and FAST creative—across linear, digital, on-platform, social, out of home, and events that convert these opportunities into material acquisition, retention or viewing impact.Collaboration with cross-functional TU teams (Sales, Legal, Finance, Digital, Ad Sales, Consumer Marketing, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, etc.) to support contract renewals with distribution partners to ensure the proper vendor oversight, deal fulfillment and business strategy is properly executedCreate comprehensive briefs that apply the overarching partner strategy, audience insights, campaign objective, and customer journey to a creative approach that’s unique to the campaign-- providing clear direction, visual guidance, style guides, that are timeline driven for optimizationManage with all functional groups across the Distribution team to develop and maintain playbook/dashboard of prioritiesProject management and execution of designated partner campaigns, events and productions in conjunction with TU’s consumer marketing team and/or third-party marketing agenciesDevelop ad-hoc analysis, reports, presentations and other supporting materials/analyses for Senior Management as needed for specific department strategiesManage promotional and asset toolkits to enhance distributor marketing efforts in support of TU’s programming prioritiesExecution and fulfillment of contractual marketing obligations that are mutually beneficial to TU and our distribution partners and align with goals and objectivesCoordinate with programming team to ensure communication on programming priorities is current and provides distribution partners with the required lead time for promotionAnalytical thinking abilities shown to drive metrics and benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement in process and results, while expertly managing multiple projects and a large volume of stakeholdersEstablish and maintain distribution partner relationships with key influencers across their marketing, sales, digital, social, customer service and other teams that may assist with the execution of our contractual marketing obligations and help to identify opportunities, which generate new partnershipsUnderstand, monitor, and report on competitive programming, products and marketing trends in the marketplace and identify opportunities to address such competition. (including positioning of other programmers, offerings, and new initiatives in the OTT space (e.g. Hulu, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Roku, Tubi, Xumo, etc. etc.)Budget management for each project and understanding the individual cost elements and logistics of budget pacing, ability to forecast and plan to years end, by tracking and risk mitigation.Ability to coordinate with senior management and appropriately across partner teams in a timely manner to have alignment before the work begins. Awareness of shifting partner and industry needs across Product UI/ Services, and Business Development to constantly meet goals and drive resultsYOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)
Minimum 8 years of marketing and/or sales experience working in a client-facing role within in media (content distribution, distribution partner, or advertising agency with experience in digital preferred)Industry experiences working strategically with partners to create effective and value-added campaigns that drive growth, performance, and ROIExperience developing creative, data driven presentations for clients and/or senior managementThrive in a global multi-matrix corporate environmentSkilled at independently interpreting distribution contracts and creating execution planExperience reviewing and analyzing media and consumer research to find sales storiesStrong knowledge Microsoft Office products and Design aptitude (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Adobe suite)DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
