JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing leadership and direction to manage all construction activity in assigned RDOF state with an estimated budget of $100M - $300M and a team of approximately 20 employees. Develop RDOF state construction teams and secure and support construction contractor resources to meet construction schedule and FCC milestones in all areas. Work closely with Field Operations region leadership to ensure they are informed and have input to construction plans, BAU operations are not compromised, and there are consistent processes to activate/handoff plant. Work closely with Design, VP of Plant Regulatory Strategy & Deployment, Legal, Government Affairs, Procurement, Customer Operations, Marketing and Corporate Leadership to plan/execute the overall project.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Responsible to ensure compliance with all construction and design standards. Establish and ensure all projects are managed consistently in PRISM, using standard project management planning/scheduling documents, and standard reporting. Ensure standard invoicing/approval processes are followed and in place for all projects. Ensure all as-builts are submitted accurately and timely. Minimize impact to BAU operations in the region.Establish and direct quality control programs for construction that are consistent with corporate construction/design standards in the RDOF Regions. Develop list of qualified bidders for construction, issue RFPs working with procurement, and secure contract labor necessary to meet project goals. Develop plan to secure all permits and pole attachments working closely with contractors, design, pole owners and federal, state, and local agencies.Develop and maintain good relations with local utilities, vendors, contractors and government agencies. Ensure adherence to company safety standards. Ensures field compliance with corporate engineering standards, policies and procedures. Lead role in forecast planning, and managing expenses for the construction projects in designated RDOF State. Manage RDOF construction capital and make viable investment decisions. Identify engineering/construction opportunities and promote change and initiate ideas. Oversight of the change management approval process for the RDOF construction project. Perform other duties as requested.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Construction/engineering management experience - 8+Construction project management experience - 5+Leadership experience - 5+

SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent Industry and vendor specific certifications and training
