Main responsibilities:

This role will lead our Cloud Networking team and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud networking infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Leadership and Strategy: 

Lead and mentor a team of cloud networking engineers.  Develop and execute the strategic vision for cloud networking within the organization.  Collaborate with senior leadership to align cloud networking initiatives with business goals. 

Cloud Networking Architecture: 

Design and implement robust cloud networking solutions.  Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud networking infrastructure.  Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies and services. 

Operations and Management: 

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cloud networking team.  Manage cloud networking budgets and resources.  Develop and enforce policies and procedures for cloud networking operations. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

Work closely with other IT teams, including cloud infrastructure, security, and application development.  Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.  Provide regular updates on cloud networking projects and initiatives. 

Compliance and Security: 

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.  Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud networking.  Conduct regular security assessments and audits. 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).  10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on cloud networking.  Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking technologies, and a proven track record of managing large-scale cloud environments.  Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google, OCI, IBM Cloud).  Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security, and best practices.  Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.  Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP, Azure, Juniper/Mist, Cisco/Meraki) are a plus. 

This position will be based in Pleasanton, CA.

The salary range is $182,000.00 to $240,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility  for exceptional candidates.
