Position Overview
The Director of Client Events is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of client selling events that drive client recruitment including gaisho/high potential clients and maximize sales results. Also, challenge to elevate events to reinforce client engagement. This role requires a proactive and innovative individual with excellent leadership, operational, and financial management skills. The Director will collaborate closely with Retail Management and other key stakeholders to deliver exceptional event experiences that align with the company's overall business objectives, while also controlling budgets and maximizing return on investment for each event.
Key Accountabilities
Event Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with Retail Management, MD/HJ team to plan and execute selling events that meet or exceed sales targets. Oversee all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, event programming, marketing and promotion, and on-site logistics. Oversee the planning and execution of High Jewelry/Fine Jewelry Event. Take the lead on the Japan Blue Book Event, managing all aspects from concept to completion. Plan and execute area events in key areas including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyushu; tailoring event strategies to meet the specific needs and preferences of each region. Manage and execute events in key department stores to drive sales and enhance brand visibility. Plan and implement special selling events such as Hankyu VIC Salon and PGI (Platinum Guild International) partnerships; collaborate with partners to maximize the impact and success of these events.Brand Elevation:
Take initiative in upgrading and innovating selling events to elevate the brand and create memorable experiences for clients; stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure events are relevant and impactful.Operational Leadership:
Lead event operations to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all event activities; manage event teams and provide guidance and support to ensure successful event delivery.Budget Management:
Control event budgets and ensure events are delivered within allocated resources; develop and implement strategies to maximize ROI for each event, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators.Requirements
10+ years of event management experience in W&J industry Must be creative with a high taste level Strong written, verbal and presentation skills Previous experience in client events/relations role.
