Director, Change Management
Own field change management strategy, planning, rollout, and post-rollout transition for AWM initiatives impacting advisors and their practices. Work with business owners, stakeholders, field partners and cross organizational teams to develop and align on implementation approach and associated plans. Manage implementation execution and reporting. Deliver post-implementation assessment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end change management for significant projects and programs that impact advisors and their practices, from strategic approach and execution planning through roll out and post roll out transition. Collaborate and partner with key business and field leaders to understand the change and associated field impact to develop and align on implementation approach and timing. Follow and apply proven change management processes and guiding principles.
 Lead cross-functional team (business, communications, learning and development, coaching, support) through development of a national rollout plan that will prepare field members to adopt the change. Plan will include specific implementation tactics, metrics that will be tracked and assessed, the implementation timeline, and support approach. Influence at all levels of the organization to ensure appropriate strategy and plan are created to meet business objectives. 
 Lead Implementation Manager in development and execution of a test plan to confirm end-to-end change management approach. Adjust plan based on learnings prior to rolling out nationally. Oversee post-implementation review.
 Work collaboratively with business owners, field and corporate partners, and support teams throughout the project.  Maintain on-going and frequent reporting of key field implementation metrics, risks, issues, and dependencies. Drive completion of follow-up items to ensure uptake and results are achieved.
 Ensure ongoing and frequent reporting of field implementation status and risks.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years).7-10 years of relevant experience. 3+ years of experience planning and executing change management for business initiatives. Strong collaboration and influencing skills.Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.  Strong organizational, process and project management skills. Experience in managing transformational initiatives. Ability to continue making progress when significant ambiguity exists within the work.Ability to navigate across a matrix organization and work effectively across organizational boundaries. 
 

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications Preferred: Change Management certification.Previous experience with successful rollouts to the Ameriprise field channels (AFG, AAG, AFIG and AAC).Previous experience working with the AWM organization.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $128,400 - $147,700 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
